The food was fantastic if on the pricey side. Other guests were noisier than our own tastes.

I believe there was a heating issue, but they did their best to keep us all warm during the meal and it did not affect our dinning experience. Mum requested coming back as she loved the moussaka, they did not disappoint! I enjoyed the many dishes of the Meze menu. We left very full! Thank-you for a lovely evening.

Absolutely fantastic. No waiting time, straight to a table previously booked. Ordered the Meze for 2 and wasn't disappointed. Just kept coming. Nice bottle of Methos to wash it all down. Our waiter was very informative and advised us on which dish would be complimented with each sauce. Will definitely be returning.

Sokrates taverna took us back to Greece, I felt this was an experience and not just a fantastic meal. Amazing service and the staff were so attentive. No rushing and freshly cooked mezze, catered for vegetarians and no ask was too much. that special dessert topped the night off. Thank you to the chef and the staff for such a lovely Saturday night.

For my wife and I, this was our first visit to the restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm welcome and a very high level of service was provided throughout our meal. The menu gave us plenty of choice and the food itself was delicious. Considering the freezing weather conditions, we were surprised, yet pleased to see so many diners - this generated a lively, happy atmosphere, which added to our overall enjoyment. Highly recommended.

Service was slow and took us over an hour to get our starter. Tables came in after us and where served before us. Food was very good though and staff very friendly. Would come back despite the slow service on this occasion.

Great food, portions slightly smaller than i remember. Only negatives were slightly longer waiting times to order and pay and we had a wobbly table which was fixed whilst we were eating. won't put me off going back but would suggest larger portions for the main meals i.e. lamb chops with some more additions

The staff were lovely and the restaurant is a cosy traditional style, but unfortunately we found the food very over priced. Maybe it would have been better if we had the Meze, however the starters were tiny - especially the saganaki which was a tiny square of cheese. The main on the ala carte menu were small too. Although the food tasted good, it was so expensive for what we got - not worth it.

I've been here a few times over the years but my friends had not. Amazing authentic Greek food with a taverna like atmosphere. It's been a while since my last visit but nothing had changed, everything was excellent. We all had different feta starters, all delicious. Jumbo Souvlaki for mains, perfectly cooked. The feta and tzatsiki is the best I've tasted outside Greece. To finish you have to try the Greek yoghurt cheese cake with a choice of toppings it's amazing. I'm not a pud person this is the only place I have pudding, even if I'm full. The service is lovely, friendly and fun. You feel like you've been properly spoiled. It was great to see a few people dining on a Monday eve and the atmosphere was great. I loved getting a call back after I booked online just to check details. I think it's the owner who served us I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but she's the perfect hostess. They have authentic Greek wines too and on previous visits she has helped us choose the right wine. My friends were impressed and will visit again. 5 Stars 😀
