Excellent food and service by very friendly staff. This was my first visit to this restaurant, but it will most definitely not be my last.

Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere. There is a good selection of Greek dishes on the menu. We visited on a Sunday evening as a group of 5 and all of the food was served together and in good time. We'll be back! :-)

Excellent food as always, service very good, what else would you like to know? These requests for reviews from every company one deals with are getting tiresome and 25 words incites me not to bother.

Many friends had recommended so finally tried. Many choices for vegetarian and they are delicious. We ordered the set £20 ppl, ended up £77 for 3 of us including one drink each and one pudding to share ( because t We were all stuffed have to take 2 main courses home). From start to end everything were excellent. Cheese cake was amazing recommend with Spicy fig source. Will go again soon but will order a little less starter and main course so can try more pudding this time.

Nice little restaurant with a traditional ‘holiday’ like Greek feel. Friendly service. Good choice of food for both meat eaters and vegetarians and reasonable prices.

We went for the banquet. Starters were good. Wasn’t impressed with the mains. No atmosphere as it was empty. Only one wine you could have by the glass. Which wasn’t very nice.

Great food, fantastic service and value for money. Very pleasant atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. One of our party has dietary needs and this was not a problem.

Group of 5 ladies catching up with 4 of us ordering the meze banquet ... omg so much food and all tasted delicious. Service from the extremely smiley young gentleman was warm and friendly. Quiet as a Sunday but lit and decorated well and so a lovely environment.

Everything was fantastic! First visit to Sokrates but will not be the last. The dips were extremely tasty and plentiful, we also had the battered feta which was lovely and light and the spanokopita. For mains we had the Kalamari and the Stifado (both very generous portions) and the cheesecake and baklava to end. Cannot praise it enough

Very relaxed atmosphere. Helpful, efficient staff. Delicious food. Four of us shared a mezzi and added some extra dishes which worked a treat. Highly recommended.

As always the service was excellent and they can't look after you enough! The quality of food is also always excellent so we can't recommend this enough!

I have eaten at This place before so I knew I would be good, and it did not disappoint, for my friend it was the first time and she loved it, she said she would definitely eat there again. Wonderful food, excellent service. 10 out of 10.

Fantastic as always!!! Quiet Monday evening at the restaurant, we had a table of 7 to celebrate a friends birthday, staff very welcoming and couldn't have done more. 5 of us had the full meze, far too much food as always, leftovers was taken home to eat today. We will be returning soon

Absolutely beautiful food and the staff are so very attentive My only negative would be the toilets and stair distort down the cellar need replacing . Not out off though and will definitely return

Amazing food! Amazing service! I would definitely recommend going for the Meze, lots of tasty food and perfect for sharing. The restaurant itself has a real Mediterranean feel and if I didnt know better I would of thought I was there somewhere on the Greek islands. Great experience.

Sad what has happened to this old favourite. We were the only ones in the restaurant by 8.30pm on a Friday. No excuse, therefore, for the lamb kebabs to be totally dried out and so tough on the teeth you'd think they'd been cooked a few days ago. Having said that the moussaka and side salad were fine.

Sokrates is a Really lovely restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic, there's a great atmosphere and the service is good. Would definitely recommend it

The food was good, in a great location in Sale. the drinks menu perhaps a little limited. would definitely go back again for a quick dinner.

Booked first thurs of month as advertised Greek music night etc only to be told only applies to Mcr totally false advertising and the meals were v poor so a bad night all round won't go again

Had the Meze and it was fantastic, but ate far too much! Dips were divine, as was the chicken and lamb. Staff were extremely good

From the first warm welcome, it was wonderful. Lovely food that we didn't have to wait long for to eat, Sokrates Taverna in Sale is a lovely place to dine out in. Thoroughly recommended!

We booked same day we wanted to go. Arrived on time no waiting for our table. The meza we had, was excellent, too many courses but we ploughed through, thoroughly enJoyed everything. Great attention for staff but not intrusive would recommend this restaurant. Feel like we spent an evening in Greece it was good and we will return.

Great start to the festive period. Excellent food and service in a bustling atmosphere. We enjoyed all the food ( meze ) but had to take some home as to much, but to good to waste.

Very tasty food and what I do enjoy is it's a place where you can hear your dinner ompanion, no overly loud background music. Call me old fashioned but dining out is about, good food, good wine and good conversation. Sokrates manages to cater for all these.

Great food & wonderful staff. Looked after 4 adults & 2 kids brilliantly. Even ran to local shop to get mayonnaise for our 5 year old!!

The meal was excellent we were a group of four,two shared the Mezzanine one had fillet of chicken and the last person had the large mixed kebabs the device was first class we had a wonderful eve

The food was excellent, enjoyed by everyone in the party. Two of them moved from Sale some years ago and were delighted to find the restaurant, as good as when they were regular customers.

Enjoyable evening, food pretty good, but probably better to experience a night out when you're in a big group trying all the meze an that.
