Excellent food, nice environment, friendly service: this restaurant is one of my favourites.

Good beer, wonderful seasonal Bavarian delicacies, such as white asparagus and Bärlauch pesto (wild garlic). Of course pork dishes, sausages and Schnitzel are delicious, but I would recommend trying the other Bavarian delights too. The staff are also really lovely!

I do like German food. This was my second visit. Great garden.

Been to this place many times, food always good -never a problem! Could not drink this time so tried to non alcoholic beer, which was surprisingly good!

Once again, great experience at Stein’s. Place is lovely, we were in the terrace overlooking the river bank. Food amazing, excellent beers, smiling staff. Everybody was having a good time. Looking forward to the next time!

The food was excellent but thought the service was a little disappointing. Took a long time to take the order, drinks arrived late and where we were seated was next to the bar and people are queuing to pay so it gets congested. Been before and was much better this time I wasn’t impressed.

Very good food and beer and an alpian style environment. It is so easy going that you can go with family, friends solo or with a date.

The food was good and the service was friendly and fast. It has a lovely cosy ski cabin atmosphere and the desserts were exceptionally delicious!!

The meals & beverages were tasty. The waitresses were polite, but unfortunately the service was scatty. We were brought an incorrect drinks order folliwed by an incomplete one. Sadly, the seating was very cramped.

Sorry, I was disappointed with our lunch at Stein's. Maybe I chose the wrong thing but I had the brat kartoffel with beef, pork and sausage with an egg on top £19. The meat was dry and tough and I couldn't eat it. The Strudel wasn't filo pasty as it was stodgy and too much cinnamon. The restaurant was very cold too, we couldn't take our coats off for the first hour. Wine was good though. Not good value. Also music was played for one song and then it would stop for a while and then back again, then stop. Poor girl had to keep pushing a button for the music. Nil atmosphere!

Very friendly. Great for kids. Lovely food! What’s not to like?! We went to the Rose Theatre afterwards & for a walk down the river too
