Quality main courses in particular which were extremely tasty and service with a smile; have been several times in the past before shows and will continue to do so in the future.
Excellent service in a lovely canal side restaurant. Good choice of real ales available, extra choice of drinks available from the upstairs pub. Would recommend as a nice place to visit.
Great food and good value for money. Attentive service with a smile. My 13 year old daughter loved the pizza. Can’t wait to go back soon!
Fab fab fab - great service great food one of the best places to eat in Brum. Keep it quiet we dont want everyone using our little diamond hidden behind broad street!!!
Food is good, had T bone steak which was cooked exactly as we had asked and very tasty. Choice of beers limited downstairs only two but lots more choice upstairs. Would visit again next time we are in Birmingham.
Lovely food & friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. Setting very well placed. Easy to get to other places of interest. Would definitely recommend to others.
Good food, friendly staff, great venue. I have had the lasagna several times, always very good, especially with salad and onion rings. Would recommend this place.
Pre-stranglers. Good food in the restaurant, then good beer and atmosphere in the bar upstairs, despite the snow. Have been before and would go again
Great restaurant overlooking the canal marina. Old pub with lots of character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered cocktails to start. My wife ordered nachos to start followed by grilled chicken and I ordered calamari followed by a ribeye steak. All of the food was excellent quality and flavour and served well. We highly recommend the Tap and Spile for your next visit to Birmingham. Regards, Jim
Took my dad for Sunday lunch, had a lovely table looking out onto the canal, delicious two course Sunday lunch, waiters were very attentive and funny too! Even the chef came out and asked us how our meal was. Will definitely go again!
Was open micro night. Very lifely and with a traditional pub vibe in one of the busiest and more modern quarters of the city. Good
Food is amazing & plentiful! Staff are so lovely & friendly, restaurant is very quaint & have managed to sit right by canalside which is obviously a lovely view,, would recommend reserving a table as gets very busy at weekends! Definitely be going again 😁
Lovely setting. Good food. Served by a wonderfully attentive Italian waiter. The only thing that irked us was his colleague delivered the bill to our table without us asking for it. Got the distinct impression we were to move on, despite it being no where near closing time. Shame, spoilt what would have been a fab meal.
Excellent cooked to order food. Very friendly attentive staff. Nice situation downstairs over looks canal. Upstairs a bit bleak & bare with no atmosphere. Could do with some decoration to brighten it up!
fab time!! great service great food and what a jewel in broad streets crown. Customer service was excellent, lovely waitress and hector was a star!!!!
My first time here and what a nice intimate pub . Fab food. Such polite Friendly staff. Will definatetly be back very soon. Happy days!!
Food was lovely, good value, staff were very helpful, very busy in the pub but service was good and there was a great atmosphere, great view of canal and had a nice walk along the canal after dinner, will definitely come back in the summer
a warm and friendly atmosphere with lovely staff and really good food and wine at a very fair price. have been before and will definitely be going back !!!

Fantastic service and food. Thank you so much. Very clean and good value for money.will go again next time I'm in Birmingham. Great place to go
Food was delicious, beer was kept well and the staff were all friendly and more than happy to help. Will definitely be going back. Prices weren’t bad, especially for Birmingham.
Excellent meal and service would highly recommend. Value for money and a wide range of dishes to choose from. Would go again for a meal. Friendly staff as well
Great place. Lovely canal side setting. Food was excellent quality and very competively priced. Felt very homely and the staff were curteous, friendly and attentive. Would definitely return. Highly recommended.
The staff were Really helpful, nice cosy pub, in a great central location, they served great food, at a reasonable price and its child friendly. Will definately be coming here again.
We luckily happened to drop onto this place today. Food and service was amazing and the beer was good too! Couldn’t ask for more - will be going again!
We had a lovely meal with good service. There is a good choice of starters anc mains. Too full to look at dessert menu.. Would highly recommend for a good pub meal.
The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, with just enough light-hearted humour to make us feel right at home, followed by excellent service! The food was delicious; we didn't wait long at all for it to arrive. The atmosphere was welcoming and cosy! All in all a very pleasant first visit!
Lovely restaurant. The people were lovely and the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place, there was a lot of choice on the menu.
Clean, tidy public house. Good selection of food, very hot when served, good sized portions and good selection of drinks. Would eat here again when in the City
Lovely setting by the canal. A down to earth restraunt with wonderful attentive service. Food is fresh and delicious, best bit of batter I've ever had.
Very handy for the Symphony Hall and NIA. Went early before going to a Christmas concert at the Symphony Hall. Fairly quiet, but it was early. Food good and not too expensive, and the waiter was really nice. Close to the action without being too busy.
4 meals....all different....all perfect! Service and prices were excellent and the place had a lovely rustic and cosy ambience. We will be back on our next visit to Birmingham 😊
Very friendly helpful staff. Well cooked pub food. Steaks were good lasagne very tasty. Would definitely return again when in Birmingham. Excellent venue for pre show meal at the NIA
Had a good Sunday lunch there good atmosphere overlooking the canal have been there several times and will go again, good selection on the menu
Five girls Christmas get together: we found it good value for money, good service, excellent quality food and drink and easy enough to get to.
Food was good. The attention of the staff is first class without bring obtrusive. All four of us eating said we would go back again.
Friendly restaurant, with great food and attentive service. Bottles of wine very reasonable. Will definitely go back . A short walk from the Symphony Hall-great location👍
The staff were welcoming and helpful, the food was very well presented and cooked. All in all a pleasant early evening meal before going to a live gig.
great food great staff excellent atmosphere and reasonably priced. love it here!
The pub part was full of 25 year olds acting 15 years old and having had to much beer. Despite advertising real ale there was only one on offer when we arrived. Restaurant was disappointing Starters were ok but not memorable. Mains; the fish and chips were ok but a very small portion. The meat pie poor. The filling had very little flavour despite being advertised as being made with beer. The pastry was soggy and we suspected the pie was microwaved before being put in an oven that was to hot and for to short a time. Basically it's one to avoid. The people on the table next to us sent theirs back. We would not go back
Nice food & the friendliest Italian welcome you could have - good beer too - highly recommended but you must book - will come here again and again
Great food and service presented at a good price. Atmosphere is cosy and welcoming with a canalised view of people messing around in their boats.
The food was lovely and very well priced, very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Great location right next to the canal but close to shopping centre, hotels and broad Street.
The food and the service were both excellent. The food, which we had pre-ordered, was served exactly as requested, it was hot, well cooked and delicious. Our waiters / waitresses were cheerful and efficient: good service with a smile. Well done, Tap and Spile. We'll be back!
Lovely meal.. Had starters and mains... we all ordered different things and everything was spot on. Staff were so polite and friendly, couldn't do enough for us.. Definitely go again
Four of us (two couples) had meals and drinks here on Tuesday 21st November 2017, as always, food drinks and service were superb, excellent choice on menu and reasonably priced, look forward to going again, which we definitely will!
Had a great time -food excellent - staff very friendly and looked after us very well - I would probably give the karaoke a miss in the upstairs bar though - could have something to do with age though!
Lovely little pub/restaurant by the canal, staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you very reasonably priced and the food was lovely we would definitely recommend.
