Lovely evening, great service great food in great location with really nice vibrant atmosphere. Waiters and staff were friendly welcoming and attentive without being in your face. Would highly recommend!

Excellent service I hosted a hen party the restaurant were very accommodating even tho some guests were late and allowed me to bring in decorations. Great service & delicious food would highly recommend :-)

This was our 2nd visit and, as before, we had excellent food and efficient, friendly service. We will go back and have recommended the restaurant to friends.

Food and service excellent, we were a party of four who enjoyed beef nachos for starter, great steaks and lamb chops for main and we shared a huge Belgium waffle with strawberries and ice cream for dessert which was delicious. We sat outside next to the canal before going inside to our reserved table next to an open window where we still had a good view. Would definitely return.

Friendly staff, great service,lovely food, great, canal side setting. Was there at opening time, so not exactly packed, but still a good atmosphere. Will definitely go again when the opportunity arises.

Food is good if you want pub food, the location is not so great especially if you're wearing heels and it's abit noisy in there

We had a great lunch, staff very attentive. Food very good. A girlie Christmas shopping shop to Birmingham visiting the Christmas markets. All enjoyed Tap and Spile very much.

Great location on the canal side, tables outside to sit and have a drink next to the canal. Good choice of real ales, nice varied food menu. The food was served by attentive staff with no delay. Overall a really nice place to have a drink and a meal, the restaurant is nicely decorated downstairs whilst the small bar upstairs retains it's quirky character.

Great location, combined with amazing food and fantastic service. Highly recommendable and in fact our second visit for Sunday lunch within the last six weeks :-)

We had an excellent meal and service st the Tap and Spile. The staff were attentive always ready to help. We were a big group of twelve, food was on time and served all together and of good quality.

Fantastic pub on the canal, excellent food at a reasonable prices. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. We had a meal here before a concert at the barclaycard arena, which was a few minuets walk just along the canal. We will be back, next time we are in the area!

Great canal side pub within walking distance of city centre. Friendly service and good food. Definitely worth visiting again next time we are in Birmingham.

This pub was in a location next to the canal. Food was enjoyable, bit overpriced for what you get.

Very good service, good food, good real ale, what more do you want? Booked a table for Mothers Day and the four of us had a very enjoyable experience. Staff were very good and can honestly say we all really enjoyed our food including steak & ale pie, homemade spicy chicken pizza and pork chop steak. We had the garlic bread to start with and had no room for pudding. £68 for the 4 of us including drinks so very good at £17 per head especially for Mothers Day, although menu was the same as normal.

Very warm welcoming place and greeting. We were 30 minutes early but our table was ready. Service was genuinely friendly and efficient. Food was great. A great Mothers day meal ! Will definately return.

Lovely old canalside pub with a restaurant downstairs opening onto towpath. Great food, cosy atmosphere and attentive staff but not a great deal of choice for vegetarians. My veggie friend chose a pizza and I had salmon. Food and service were good.

Brilliant spot on canal excellent service and food. Menu caters for everyone and prices reasonable . Perfect for sunny day in Spring and Summer to sit outside

Been here on a Sunday afternoon. Lovely service and atmosphere. Had pizza and chips, it was good. Probably more suitable for older people , music at the background was missing :)

Very tasty food with friendly service. One side dish arrived later than food, but otherwise a fabulous meal. Would definitely recommend it and in such a lovely setting.

Lovely meal had by all,Staff helpful,and food good and delivered in good time. Ideal for pre show meal, close to symphony hall, Barclay Card Arena and Town Hall. Will return next time in Birmingham.

Good choice of food, reasonably priced, excellent staff and a good atmosphere, and right on the canal as a bonus. Only reason didn't give it a 6....my wife was a bit disappointed with her Lasagne.

Lovely little place, friendly staff and fab food! Street food portions are huge, so will definitely share next time as desserts looked fab! Also, they make a great cosmopolitan!

Excellent service, the staff were professional, but also friendly, they were always on hand to make sure we didn't have to wait for a drink. Food was excellent, starters, mains and desserts were first class. A great choice of ales on offer as well, definitely will visit again.

Excellent food, Steak and ale pie (best Ive ever had) assorted veg & hand cut chips! All cooked perfectly nice and hot, service again excellent.

Really nice staff and the food was really nice too. The view was nice aswell. Well worthy of a visit if your out in Birmingham.

Don't be fooled by the bar upstairs. When you walk in to the dark dingy bar find the stairs that will take you to the restaurant. Once in the restaurant the atmosphere changes. It's relaxed and calming. The food was lovely and came out hot. The staff are friendly and accommodating. All in all a fantastic experience and wil definitely be recommending it.

Food was great. Good value for portion size. Waiter was one of the friendliest and considerate I've ever had. Drinks also good value and cocktail was surprisingly big not full of ice as is the custom

Nice old canalside pub..service very friendly and unrushed.. Groupon deal not bad, but limited selection of meals within the deal. If you wanted extra sides, dessert, coffee or meals above £10.25, it starts to be not such a good deal.....!!!

This restaraunt is very good, the portion sizes are most excellient, and it is a good value for the money that the food costs to buy

Staff are so welcoming and the service was outstanding. Have eaten in alot of places around Birmingham and this is by far the best restaurant to come for food. Overall great location, service, food and price.

Excellent food and service. We had prawn cocktail stater 10oz steak for our main which was perfect and desert we had bread pudding and custard food and presentation all excellent

Friendly staff and great food. Music was a bit loud at one point but happily turned down slightly at our request. We would definitely return.

We had a very nice pleasurable Sunday lunch, which was most enjoyable. We had a seat which overlooked the canal, very relaxing. I am gluten free, but there was nothing on the desert menu for Coelliacs. However I did ask for some fresh fruit and custard, and the presentation of the desert was lovely. Would definitely go again.
