Great decor and very busy. The food I had was tasty but the menu is very meat orientated. We would have liked to share some dishes, but they all seemed to be mains.
Slow service between courses. And a very expensive 5lsuprise 5 course special. £60 and was worth £20- £30 at best. Wouldn't go back in a hurry.
Great food with good service. Lovely location with a friendly atmosphere.mmwe had the daytime special which was great value and very tasty but the portions were small but adequate for a lunchtime.
Very different and excellent both food and service. Not expensive for the quality of the restaurant and food , Would recommend you give it a try.
A beautiful interior overlooking the marina which was bathed in sun so we asked to be seated in the window. The thalli luncheon menu suited us for a light lunch and it was delicious and nicely presented with a glass of wine for £12.95 so good value too. Service is about right, being prompt, attentive but not hovering and the washroom, although small, is very nicely decorated. Overall an enjoyable experience which we will certainly repeat.
Really enjoyable evening. Good food and reasonably priced. What I would call a posh Indian restaurant, as not your usual choice of curry, but was really nice. Good service.
This is the second time I've had dinner here and it did not disappoint. Lovely food and great ambience by the marina. Would definitely recommend it for a special occasion.
The food tasted good but not to the extent that my wife and I were blown away by it. The starters were tiny, even by fine dining standards!!! On my plate, they served 3 really small scallops surrounded by mustard and two tiny slices of vegetable per scallop. The portion really was embarrassingly tiny. The main courses were slightly better. I had Kind prawn which were a nice size and I had three of them surrounded by a spicy sauce. A ordered a separate side dish of rice, otherwise I would have had to stop off somewhere else to have a proper lunch. My wife's experience was similar. In general the pricey menu (only the A La Carte menu available on Mother's Day) did not deliver a fulfilling experience. On a more positive note, the surrounding were very modern and the waiters/waitresses did a reasonable job, except for the fact they failed to notice that we had a 3 year old baby - they put a wine glass in front of her after we ordered our drinks and no one offered a high chair (later we found out that they do have those!!). If you want value for money fine dining, I would go somewhere else in the future.
This was the first time visiting the restaurant, i've been wanting to visit for some time. It did not disappoint, the food was very nice!
Very upmarket Indian restaurant lovely food and decor. Service was friendly but a few more staff on a busy Friday night might be worthwhile. Will go again next time I'm in Hull
Initially had a table in a walk through area so was quickly moved to a different one which was much better. The restaurant ambience was great, just a little slow service after we had finished eating so much so we're.t a little abandoned as the tables next to us had emptied out. Food was good- hubby loved his crab starter and oxtail main but being vegetarian it was quite limited for me and the dishes I chose weren't to my personal tastes.
Enjoyed the Meal and Service.Lovely setting,my only comment which is why I didn,t rate at 6. .When I order a bottle of wine I expect it to be in an ice bucket by my table. The problem is that all wine is placed in a common ice bucket, and served by the waiter which means you have to wait for him to serve. This leads to the wrong bottle being brought to the table and one which has been served to others as we pointed out to the waiter. I hope the next time I dine there this is sorted.
Excellent food and great service. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and was quite busy for a Thursday night. Will definitely have to return before too long.
Our waitress spoke poor English and knew nothing about the dishes. Other staff good. Food order taken before drinks arrived. Food not bad but pricey. Coffee very average. Not sure i understand the "Gordon Ramsey does Indian" approach. Others may disagree but i wont be wandering far from the Bengal Brasserie in Market Weighton again!
Excellent location and different well presented food. Indian food takes on a whole new dimension here. A few interesting bars nearby as well so great for an afternoon or evening out.
Fantastic food fantastic service. Will be definitely going back. Great menu Irish coffee could've been better but still very good. Great date night for myself and my wife.
Well produced aesthetic and wonderful atmosphere. Warm and friendly staff with an excellent and concise choice of food and drink. Have already recommended to all of my associates, friends and family.
This is a fantastic restaurant for lunch or dinner. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely incredible. Well presented and delicious. I've been here for my last 3 business lunches just because it's a fail-safe option for top-notch food!
Service and food fantastic. We will definitely recommend his restaurant to our friends. Great time had by us all. If your looking for a special night out, then look no further
I took my mother to tapasya for the high tea experience. The display of food looked lovely with all its bright colours and the tea itself was different to anything I've had before. Overall a great selection of food
Excellent service delivered throughout our meal. Food was really good, nice varied menu. My main should have had rack of lamb with lamb shank. Rack not available due to high demand so more than enough lamb shank substituted. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back for other things from the menu
Food flavoursome and delicious. Staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the food. Great location on Hull Marina. Would definitely recommend that you try this modern Indian restaurant which blends the best of East Yorkshire with the best of Indian cuisine.
Had the 5 course tasting menu with wine, food and wine was outstanding but thought it was a bit over priced for what we had
A lovely atmosphere with very attentive staff in a great setting. The food was well presented and on the whole very flavourful. My starter was a bit bland and boring and portions smaller than I recall them being at the Beverley road restaurant
Really good attentive service without being overbearing or intrusive. Great selection of food which arrived in good time. Superb quality. Quite a bit different to the usual Indian fare served at the vast majority of places. A little more expensive than usual, but well worth it. Wine selection was good at a fair price. Tapasya is set in nice surroundings, overlooking the marina. The whole area is being revamped and will be the place to go to. Good pubs nearby to round the night off as well...we ate at 6.30pm till 9.00pm so had the time to indulge. Definitely I will go to again.
It has a great atmosphere and the meal was really nice but the drinks and food was not up to standard you expect from a restaurant of this standard
Food really very good, just a few lack of care and attention to detail issues. I'll definitely go back though. And like what they're trying to achieve.
This is the first time visiting the marina restaurant as we normally go to Beverley road. The food was amazing as always it was mainly the staff, I appreciate it was extremely busy but we were left at reception for 5 minutes before someone came to us, we were then sat down at a waiting table as we were early. We were not asked if we would like drinks so we had to get someone's attention to ask for them but he seemed put out by this. We will give this restaurant another try but possibly on a less busier night and hopefully find a difference in the waiting staff and concierge as Tapasya is one of the best restaurants in Hull.
Delicious lunch and very good value for money. The setting on the marina is lovely whatever the weather. My guest was impressed and will be back
Fantastic food and service. The staff were very helpful and friendly they recommend meals to suit our taste and wine recommendations was amazing! Worth visiting.
Great service, amazing food, only thing that let them down was incorrectly charged for liquor coffee (which was quickly sorted). Fabulous place, will go back.
Extremely disappointed with the service and the attitude of a particular waiter. I have never had such a poor experience at a restaurant before. For a waiter to demand a tip from every single person at the table is a disgrace. I had to ask twice for 4 drinks that took 40mins, starters were forgotten and so were side dishes. I provide tips to restaurants that provide me with good service. For a first time experience of this restaurant not only me but my 6 other friends left the restaurant very displeased and shocked. The waiter was ignorant and rude. I will not be dining at this restaurant again and I won't be recommending it.
Brilliant service and quality food. The staff tried to push the Christmas menu on to us without giving out the normal menu. Which we had to ask for.
Would just like to express my thanks to all the staff and the amazing chefs that made our Christmas day complete . What a fantastic place will be going again most definitely
The staff were very attentive to detail. We were very pleased with our meal, I had the oxtail which was falling off the bone delicious!
Superb experience, great food, great service, great location and great atmosphere, we will be back for sure! traditional Indian fayre but with a modern twist that was really well presented and beautifully cooked.
We enjoyed excellent food in spectacular surroundings in a great location all served up by wonderful staff! Great menu all available at a really good price!
Was busy and service was slow. Need to be clearer on spice/heat rating on menu. Don't know what you are getting, no detail on it's spicyness, whether or not it has a sauce. And no slimline tonic us inexcusable. Food nicely presented and tasty
Had a lovely experience from start to finish! Attentive staff coupled with amazing food made for an enjoyable dining experience . I can't wait to go back with friends and family!
Superb food, excellent staff overall good experience.would definitely visit again and will look at getting a group of friends together to experience the private dining area.
Unfortunately they had a bit of a power cut while we were there, so our choices had to be changed, then the changes never got told to the kitchen so another wait. Ordered 1 drink...2 arrived on checking the bill was overcharged by £10 but put right immediately so my birthday meal was a little disappointing.
My wife and I had a lovely meal at Tapasya Marina. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. The only issue I had was that because I am disabled, I found the walk from the taxi to the front door very difficult as I have MS. There are bollards nearby which blocked access for the taxi and meant I had to struggle to get there. I asked if the restaurant had a key to release the bollards, but I was informed that they had none. Apart from that, we had a great night!
We had a lovely 1st experience at Tapasya Marina. The staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. Very different from your normal Indian takeaway experience. Non of the food was overly spicy or "hot" and it was lovely that the delicate flavours of some of the fish dishes especially could still be tasted through the spices. The meal was quite expensive at main courses anywhere between £15 and £21 and you then could add extra's which bumps up the price. However this is a quality restaurant - and quality in both food and surroundings have to be paid for. We would definitely go again.
We had a lovely meal, very smart surroundings, good food, service was great apart from one person did not receive their main course with the rest and we had to ask for it after waiting a few mins. Not a problem but not quite perfect.
Nice location and atmosphere. Our table for 4 was very small so when all the dishes came it was very awkward. The food literally arrived on the table within 3 minutes of us ordering which i didn't like. Firstly, it gives the impression that it is not cooked fresh and secondly it made our evening out shorter than it should have been. We had ordered a bottle of wine and wanted to have some talking time with friends as you would at any restaurant. Food was good. Expensive, as rice does not come with any of the meals so you are looking at maybe an average of £13-15 per main course not including naan breads. It was my second time eating here on the marina. Don't think I will be particularly rushing back but would be interested to try the Beverley Road branch.
First time at this Tapasya restaurant the decor was very good and the atmosphere was busy and lively but the service was slow and somewhat chaotic but the food was excellent.
Tapasya is an Indian tapas restaurant on the marina. We visited for the lunchtime menu. It cost £10 for the option without a glass of wine as my friend and I were both driving, there was no non alcoholic alternative included in the price so we bought soft drinks separately. The menu was quite limited with not a lot of options and the actual amount of food when it came was not huge but for £10 you get what you pay for and all the food was fresh and tasty. We particularly enjoyed the lamb dish. There is a dish with two sweet sort of fried dough balls included but they were a bit greasy and my friend and I missed a proper dessert. The restaurant is airy and pleasant and the staff were friendly. Overall we both enjoyed our visit and would go again.
Lovely meal last night, the service was very good and was the food, even though it was a busy Saturday night we were not rushed from the table.
Excellent in every respect. Great surroundings, attentive staff and quality food. Despite negative feedback on this restaurant on trip advisor we found it fantastic. Clearly the restaurant have tended to issues raised as we found none of the issues mentioned during our visit. We will definitely be back and recommending to others !
Great as always! infant seems to be getting better! each time we go it never stops amazing! added value this time with Eddie Hearn in attendance!
