Food was excellent .. wine was excellent. Need to look at the gluten free offering which my wife found a tad disappointing and badly explained. But overall a very enjoyable evening in a restaurant that has been fitted out to a high standard, with chefs who clearly know what they are doing.
Had previously been to the original Tapasya and had great experience there, this didn't disappoint! Excellently cooked and flavourful food with a relaxed but attentive atmosphere
Relatively newly opened sister to the successful Tapayas Restaurant on Beverley Road in Hull, in an excellent setting alongside the Hull Marina to be enjoyed through floor to (very high) ceiling windows. In common with Beverley Road, the Tapayas menu features a novel twist on the usual Indian fare and food is prepared to an exceptionally high standard which is reflected in the price. Service at our visit (early on a Friday evening) was extremely courteous and attentive with staff exhibiting good knowledge of the menu and well qualified to answer questions. Superb food and good range of wines and beers. Recommended.
What a lovely restaurant. You can tell it has had a lot of money invested in to it to make it stunning and a great place to eat. And the food matches the decor. Gorgeous
The restaurant is lovely, we ordered the set lunch. When it arrived, it all comes together in individual dishes on a tin tray. I had to get the managers attention and return my meal as the Bombay potatoes, and the chicken curry were Luke warm. My tray, complete with my fork in the rice was taken away. The same teY, complete with my fork in the rice was returned, with the two dishes now at the right temperature. The restaurant was not busy, so I would have expected a better service. The food was very nice. A friend asked would I go back, I don't think I would.
Absolutely brilliant. Delicious food, impeccable service, very attentive and helpful. The restaurant is very clean and a beautiful modern place with a good atmosphere. It is pricey but you really do get what you pay for. Even the toilets were great.
wow ,what a wonderful place , cosy, clean , homely feel , chefs know how to cook , will be returning , with friends and family
Excellent food good value great quality would definately recommend to anyone else who was thinking of visiting . Really enjoyed our experience and would return
Excellent quality food and a very interesting menu. Quite pricey but worth it for a special dining experience. Not all dishes come with rice or vegetables so take a look at the side dishes too. Service and timing of courses perfect.
A delicious lunch in beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed the food and found the standard of service excellent. My guests have all vowed to return soon. Thank you!
Excellent food and excellent service. It is what might be called posh Indian but there was no pretence. This is my simple view in 26 words.
Very nice venue with pleasant staff. Quite pricey for an Indian but great for a special occasion. Humber St area now very vibrant, this fits in well.
Amazing place to eat! Highly recommend! Will definitely be returning! Highly quality food and drink! Nothing was to much to ask! Clean and friendly environment.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. An expensive night but worth every penny. Why this place isn't Michelin starred I have no idea. We has the tasting menu which was heaven.
Fabulous from start to finish. The food was stunning, waiting staff lovely and at £28 for a bottle of champagne you can’t go wrong! Can definitely recommend
Great place great atmosphere. Seated on upper mezzanine with views of the marina. Staff were very attentive and on top of everything. The food was exceptional so Highly recommended
Lovely restaurant, great service with attentive but unobtrusive staff. We were a party of four and had the Surprise Menu which was 6 courses of food that we possibly wouldn't have ordered, each course was delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended if you like Indian food but are wanting something a bit more 'special', other diners food also looked excellent and we will be returning for a lunch or maybe a meal from the a la carte menu
What a fantastic night the food was probably the best we have had in a very long time it was very busy but staff came back time and again to see if we were all right
Excellent food, great example of Indian fusion. Very attentive service and reasonable price (£170 for four, 2 courses, four cocktails, 2 beers and a bottle of prosecco)
Another great meal experience. Be prepared - this is not your normal Indian restaurant or takeaway food - surroundings and staff wonderful with great location beside the Marina.
The food is exceptional and very different from your run of the mill Indian restaurants. Great ambiance and service and in a very good location
Delicious food and excellent service. Possibly the best restaurant in Hull in one of the best locations. Excellent value for money. Superb ambience and decor
Great value lunch taster menu and top quality for subtle flavoured indian food in very relaxed pleasant surroundings on Hull marina within easy walking distance from the town centre.
Lovely food and ambience, only negative was if your a party of 2 you do not get much privacy as you are seated very close to other guests
The meal was well cooked, but tiny portions and the service was poor considering we went on a Sunday. Excellent price, but would have paid more for the food. Sadly don't think I'd return due to the service though
Wonderfully attentive staff, great food, great design of restaurant. We were taken to an upstairs table which overlooked the marina so great views too. It was quite loud due to large groups of diners situated near us - but this didn't stop our enjoyment of the evening.
Really enjoyed our lunch. Good to see the restaurant busy and pleased that the lunchtime offer is proving popular. The food was delicious and as always, excellent service
Fantastic food and service for when you want something a little bit special and out of the ordinary. Whole experience was great. Well worth the money.
Great food. Great service. Really nice atmosphere. Looking forward to going again. This was our third visit and the food has been excellent each time. The staff have been that great blend of attentive but not intrusive. Can't ask for more really.
Pretty much ticks all the boxes. Top of the list, we turned up 30 minutes early, the restaurant was packed but we were still seated immediately. Even with a full restaurant the table service was fabulous with just the right amount of time between courses. The tip was well earned! Oh, and by the way, the food was top notch. Worked out at £45 per head including drinks and tip.
The best Indian restaurant in the region. Good to enjoy genuine modern Indian cuisine. The minced quail kebabs were outstanding and the tandoori poussin chicken was incredibly tender. Service was good too.
First class food, service and surrounding. If you're either visiting Hull or live here yhis is the place to eat. What more needs to be said?
Again excellent food in an outstanding restaurant. Can not recommended this restaurant enough.
Food was amazing but the service wasn't great. Took over 20mins for them to bring our drinks which we order as soon as we sat at the table.
Excellent service and food. Very good value compared to other restaurants in the area of lesser quality. Will definitely visit again in the near future.
Service excellent, starters excellent, wine excellent, dessert excellent, one main course excellent but unfortunately let down by the biryani which was awful. The food is very much fine dining and presented excellently, but the biryani was basically a bowl of chewy, dry meat with a pile of rice on top with a naan crust, a bit like a pie. When we commented on the dry-ness of the dish, the waitress advised that many customers have commented similarly - so do something about it please Tapasya!
It is well worth a visit as the food was very tasty. The service was very good and I would recommend it. We will definitely be going again.
Gorgeous food and lovely gin cocktails, one of my favourite restaurants in Hull. Will be back again soon. Had a butter chicken dish, the flavours were superb, as was the aubergine cooked with green chilli and peanut sauce, delish!
Understaffed.. waitors were literally sweating and running all over. Also tables are placed too close one another.. for what they charge as posh restaurant that is unacceptable. Food was ok, but overall value for money not good
The restaurant layout is very nice but the menu doesn't work. I was very disappointed with the lack of flavours. I was expecting a lot more.
Tasty food at a great location ! But I wouldn't advise going if you don't like spicy food as we had 4 mains and all were very hot ! Cocktails need improving but good portion size for an alternative fine dining Indian experience !
Great place, good service and unusual curries but well done. The wine list is a good choice with some decent value. We would go again.
Booked into here with work colleagues from out of town and can say that both the food and service were excellent. The restaurant itself is furnished to a high standard which only complements the setting on the marina.
Excellent food. Good service and nice setting. Reasonably priced also. Would recommend the biryani! Excellent selection of wines also. Prefer it here to the restaurant on Beverley road.
Excellent from start to finish. The starters we ordered weren't available but my 2nd choice was really good I had the chicken then for the main I had pork ribeye which was just a little dry but with the sauce tasted lovely. Good quality Rioja and Moretti on tap. Pricey but worth it
This is a beautiful restaurant in a great location. The staff are very professional however I would have appreciated being told my starter choice, lentils, was cold as I assumed, wrongly, it was hot. I didn't like it nor did my husband. I left it & explained why. No offer of an alternate or apology for not explaining it and I had to pay for it. However my husband made the right choice and it was gorgeous. Both mains were fabulous. It is not a large menu but even so it was difficult to choose as everything sounded inviting. It would be easy to explain the lentil starter was cold when ordered as I just didn't know & I could have made another choice easily. With a little explanation of the menu it would be top class.
My second time going to Tapasya Marina and I would definitely recommend it- amazing food, amazing service. Such a lovely setting inside, couldn't fault it.
