Thai Orchid - Swindon

We were there for lunch for Sister's 70th Birthday, they finish service at 2.30pm. there were 10 of us and my sister was late, did not arrived till nearly 1.20pm but the young waitress was very obliging and did not rush us or throw us out, she look after us very, very well, was very pleasant and nothing was to much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious, we all had a lovely time there, will definitely be going back.

First time that we have brought family to this Thai restaurant and they had a marvellous time. They raved about the quality and freshness of the food and the extensive selection. They will be coming back.

Beautiful food and reasonably priced for the large portions. The Pad Thai was incredible- the best we’d ever had! We will definitely go again soon.

Food was tasty and arrived quickly. The Papaya salad reminded me of being in Bangkok. Drinks are pretty expensive. The wait staff were a bit clueless but it didn't change the experience. Would visit again as the food was the most authentic I've had in over a year.

Didn't have a table available for us (had given it to someone else) and had no real room for our party, but made up an awkward table by the toilets. Service was then terribly slow, no food for 90 mins hen constant mistakes, meals missing, someone in our party didn't get their meal at all... Happy 40th birthday to me, eh?!

The service and food were both very good. It’s also child friendly which is good. We all enjoyed our meal and will definitely go back.

The Food was great as was the service. Thai red curry always very tasty with a nice spiciness. Highly recommended and nice people who work there.

Went here for a date and although we were initially met by a confused member of staff who didn't seem to know what she was doing (not sure if we caught her off guard, it was very quiet when we arrived) we soon settled in. Our waiter was helpful and efficient. The food was delicious and well priced. I would recommended this place.

Been several times and always excellent food and service. For this visit for Valentines day, we took a set menu which included their Thai Curry which is exceptional!

Another wonderful meal at our favourite Thai restaurant not only in Swindon but in the county of Wiltshire. Plenty of choice and as usual an amazing massaman curry!

Very good meal on a Saturday lunch time. The all you can eat offer is only Mon-Thurs but good value for the food at normal price.

Another excellent meal with lots of variety to choose from. As usual our waitress was delightful and very engaging which always adds to the evening.

The food was good. Tomyum soup was especially nice. Quite spicy compared to the other Thai restaurant but they charged a lot of service charge..

Wonderful service and amazing food. We had a great time celebrating my husband's birthday. We arrived before they were open and they let us and settled us to our table. Reasonably priced for such fine food.

We enjoyed good food that was well served. The range of items on the menu was impressive and the value was reasonable. I would recommend it for authentic Thai cuisine.

Great food with plenty of food options. Service pleasent and nicely presented. Will be using again as a couple and when we have visitors. Plus they do a takeaway service for that last minute decision or if they are fully booked

We had a delicious meal. The portions were very generous and the service was speedy. My only criticism would be that the staff could be a little more smiley. Overall though, we enjoyed our meal and would certainly visit again.

Very nice food. Seeing as the restaurant was full we had very good service. Bit of a wait for each course but as a group of 13 it is expected on a very busy night. Will definitely visit again.

The food was a set menu for Valentines night. It was plentiful and hot with good service. The sizzler dish was a bit bland but ok.

We were made welcome at the Thai Orchid by the friendly staff, who were attentive and friendly to our group of four. Lovely decor, delightful surroundings to eat tasty Thai food. The waitress explained all our queries about the dishes so that we knew the spiciness of each dish we were ordering. The food was presented beautifully, with carved flower vegetables.

An absolutely beautiful venue, especially the back with a conservatory where plants drip off hanging baskets like in a tropical forest. You wouldn't expect it given that looking in from the outside the venue looks quite dark. I am glad I got to go in and got proven so wrong. The service was very friendly and food was lovely and very reasonably priced. When we asked for the dessert menu they rolled out an awesome trolley full of colourful options - you could not resist when it was all there right in front of you! The only downsides to me was the fact that the venue was quite cold and the desserts, as charmingly as they were served, were a bit kids party style. I can't wait to go back though, when it's sunny and warm and the conservatory lights up with evening sun.
