Thai Orchid - Swindon

Excellent authentic Thai menu with quality ingredients and service. This was our first visit and based on the experience that took our taste buds and memories back to holidaying in Koh Samui this will be the first of many visits.

The food was exceptional, the staff were attentive but not intrusive and it was excellent value for money - a truly lovely experience!! We will definitely be going back!

Excellent meal as always...can't beat their shared platter, red Thai curry and sticky thai rice....superb! Service is always good, friendly and prompt. Would definitely recommend going

Service was excellent and the food was amazing, couldn't of asked for a better evening. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the Swindon area.

The food was great but unfortunately the service let it down a little. We will be visiting again to give it another try though .

This was our first visit to this restaurant for my birthday. Great service, friendly staff and amazing food. One of our party doesn't like spicy food which was a bit of a worry but the waiter brought out a small sample of the sauce she had chosen for her to taste. She loved it and was really happy. Such a nice experience . Everyone loved the food and we will definitely be going back.

Great service and a varied menu with really excellent food! An Old Town favourite - we recommend the mixed starter and duck in basil... both super!!

A Delicious meal as always, the food is served quickly and the service is great. I have eaten there a few times but not for many years and it was still good.

A very well presented meal. The Hot and Sour soup was wonderfully "spicy warm". We travelled 40 miles to meet here and we will travel again, it was that good.

Excellent food and friendly, efficient service as always :-) We prefer to go to the Thai Orchid rather than any other Thai restaurant in the area. Would recommend!

We had a lovely meal, I would highly recommend. This is an authentic Thai restaurant, the food is outstanding but it's not cheap. Have the custard foe desert it was delicious.

The service was very good friendly and helpful. Some of the food wasn't what was expected and not as good as we thought it could be.

Fabulous food and very friendly staff. The only reason I have rated this a 6 is that I felt the platter starter was overpriced - we had five small items each, such as a spring roll and sesame chicken toast, making the cost of each item an excessive £1.35. Having said that, the main portions were generous and there was a more-than-adequate portion of rice.

Service good, not much atmosphere. We had a sharing platter for 4 and I thought it was a bit on the mean side. certainly not a place where you have too much food - portions are not big.

Great choice of food, food was expertly cooked and tasted really good. Restaurant was well decorated, tidy and clean. Staff were friendly and gave great service. Also food was good value for money.

Delicious food and great presentation. Service was a little slow. I had the Thai green curry and it was full of flavour and very hot.

Amazing food, highly recommend Thai Orchid and would go again. Food was really fresh and fragrant and the papaya salad is a definite must as well as the obvious Thai green curry.

Excellent food-so much choice too. The service also was very good. All in all, the best restaurant we have been to for a whil and we will be going back soon!

The food was delicious and when we ordered a 'Jungle curry' we were told that it is very different to any other Thai food we may have tried before. It was very different and amazingly tasty. There was a large party there at the same time but our food arrived with just the perfect gap between courses. The price was excellent value for money and we had regular top ups of our water without having to ask. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We cannot wait to go back to try something else on the menu and there will 100% be Thai custard again.

Really enjoyed my meal at the Thai Orchid; the food was delicious and was so beautifully presented. All served with a smile. I will definitely go back.

Delicious food, attentive, friendly but unobtrusive service. Desserts are a little limited. All in all, a great experience. We will definitely go there again and probably soon.

Food was really good, and reasonably priced, service was a bit slow. I had the "golden bags" to start, lovely crispy wrapped chicken and then the sizzling black pepper lamb off the specials menu, all very fresh, perfectly cooked and very tasty. I had a mouthful of the others dishes and can highly rate the spicy noodles too and green curry! Good atmosphere, and overall very enjoyable.

The service was excellant. Will go there again and recommend to others. The food was of high value and plentiful. Highly reccommend that people try for themselves.

The food was delicious and authentic and the service was prompt but unintrusive. Just a little disappointed that there was no jasmine tea this time.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating a 60th birthday. The food was truly authentic and delicious. All 6 of us have visited Thailand and it transported us all back. Staff were attentive and service excellent will definitely return soon.
