Poor quality roast and intermittent service. Worst potatoes I’ve been served.

We visited for the first time with a pushchair and forgot to mention it beforehand but the staff were extremely accommodating and very helpful. It is definitely worth mentioning beforehand though because the layout,with lots of steps and levels, is not the easiest to negotiators with pushchairs.

Staff more concerned about the locals being able to watch the football in the dining room (when it was already been shown in the bar area), than any other guests. Disappointing lack of understanding from the staff which means despite the good food, we'll be going elsewhere in the future.

Great Sunday roast. Especially the Yorkshire pudding. Nice outdoor seating on the pavement.

This was a complimentary meal to replace a bad experience previously.We were running slightly late so called 3times to advise and it went to answer phone were a message could not be left.That was an issue that was going to be addressed .Both myself and my husbands main course's were cold and had to be returned .We ordered a Cote de Provence rose and we were given Whispering Angel which is a much more expensive wine (which is not a problem)but no explanation given.The waitress was very pleasant and very attentive . Been coming here for years. The standard is very reliable. Very good service. Anna looked after us last week, she is exceptional.

Vegan main not available, staff confused about which dish could be made vegan (had to redo my order twice) and i found a hair in my desert. Other than that really nice pub.

We had a lovely time at the Abbeville. Really amazing customer service - the host was dealing with some difficult customers really well and ensured that no other tables were affected by it. And the food was awesome as always. Thanks!

We went for bottomless Prosecco brunch. We were constantly topped up and never had to ask For another bottle- it just kept on coming. :) Also, delicious food.

All together an ok experience, but roasts were a bit disappointing - below the standard of the other mains we've had in the past. no follow up from our waitress after delivering our meals - could've done with a bit more gravy...

We went as a group of 5, including 2 years old. Restaurant was very accommodating with the child and dietary requirements. The staff was lovely, especially Hanna who was very chatty. We had a great time and enjoyed our food.

Very friendly staff and pleasant food in a good atmosphere. Reasonable choice in the menu and well run pub. Problem with one main course but was rectified immediately.

Reliably delicious food, friendly service and nice ambiance. Dog friendly. Could do with a face lift as looks a bit tired. Good selection of ales.

Very nice gastro pub in the hart of Abbeville Village which serves a special Sunday menu. The food was good and the service very very good.

A great meal at The Abbeville as usual. Lovely steak and Anna and her team provided welcoming service. Made even better value with the taste card.

Love the Abbeville! Met friends visiting from NY, we had the cozy corner table downstairs. Gr8 food and the staff are so friendly as always!

Very nice meal in a lovely pub. Dinner menu has a small but nice range. Specials were great. Very nice bowl of calamari for starter.

Very good burgers and also vegan burgers, kid menu and Lagunitas!

I love the Sunday roasts here. Such a cozy busy but comfy pub restaurant. And of course Yorkshire Puddings the size of your head. Yum

Excellent service and very good value for money. I’m not a vegan but had the vegan main (pumpkin Wellington) and it was delicious. Great relaxed atmosphere.

Roast dinner was actually really good, but the atmosphere and service was pretty poor. Made a booking for my partners birthday and on arrival was told, before even being seated ‘you have to be off the table by 3pm’ meaning a short lived trip with friends and a 7 month old baby. At 3pm, the next customers were brought to the table before we had even finished packing up. Over all, not a place for socialling, more a quick stop to eat and go.

We had a fabulous Sunday roast lunch here and the staff were great despite the very busy period at the time. Our waitress, Anna was especially fantastic - attentive and professional. Jordan & Derek

Pleasant local pub experience - would recommend the classic a la carte menu which has a range of good british pub food available. Great value for money

The food is generally fine - and Sunday roasts come out very fast. A recurring issue we've noticed about The Abbeville is that after mains come out, the service all but disappears. You'd like a condiment, good luck. Time to order pudding, good luck. Want to pay your bill: servers are nowhere to be seen. On our last visit, we had to get up and flag someone down on our way out to pay. If staff can't handle the workload, add more!

Nice atmosphere, lovely food, good service. Always a fan of the roast beef and enormous Yorkshire pudding. Kids enjoyed it too - had burgers and steak

Very personable waitresses who took interests in making sure my friends and I were well looked after. Booking service was easy online and they made sure to take down our details of any prams too. Well thought!

Really great value food for a Sunday brunch with helpful and friendly staff. We had two under three fids with us and they looked after their needs too with activities and help with heating bottles. Good food and fresh ale too.

The Abbeville is our local. Usually reliable for a quick and yummy meal. As the menu changes seasonally, the offerings can occasionally disappoint. When staff is short, table service can suffer acutely.

Had a lovely meal last night. Great service considering how busy it was. Friendly and accommodating staff and good food. Waitress gave a very helpful wine recommendation.

The pub is really cosy and beautiful. The food is really delicious but the service was quite slow and we were waiting for our drinks and napkins for a long time. Would definitely recommend though!

Arrived and were told by three different people when they needed their table back which didn’t really make you feel welcome. Service other than that was great with lovely rooms/ tables. Had the burger which was just ok x

The food was delicious! I had the pork belly with mash and broccoli, companions had the chicken and leek pie! Great service too. Would highly recommend.
