Good food, nice little pub. Only critique is the roast pots are deep fried

Lovely restaurant and good food. New staff in the kitchen which slightly delayed our food order but staff were very attentive and kept us informed. Food was of great quality and well presented. Lovely setting. Will definitely visit again.

Wen waited a long time for our meal and my gluten free pizza was poor, the crust was badly charred and so hard that the cutter was useless.

Chaotic service . Waited 25 minutes for food which did not arrive after wating 10 minutes for initial drink. Seated in alcove dining area away from main bar and other patrons. Left paying for drinks which had still not arrived. Never to be revisited.

The pizzas were very good but our friend who had the pork belly wasn't impressed for the price being charged. It didn't seem a particularly adequate portion either

The food was amazing, if we were local we would come here regularly, really lovely staff and so welcoming.

We arrived and were shown to our table, no order was taken for over 15 minutes, if we’d had a drink order taken as we arrived we’d have probably had a second drink when we ordered food. We ordered the burger an Thai Red curry. The two dishes side by side highlighted a problem, the burger came with fries, onion rings, slaw, and was an impressive meal, the curry was a portion of rice and a fairly small bowl of something that was vaguely curry like (some tinned tomatoes, onion, sweet potato, in a coconut broth), no sides or flourishes. I’d have expected to find a red chilli in the bowl, and a side of Thai crackers? Or something else? It certainly felt like something had been left off of the plate. The curry was eaten in the same time it took to eat half of the burger. The issue here is that the meals were about the same price, but were massively different sizes and qualities. I really enjoyed the burger, but my wife was left stealing chips off of my plate when she was left unsatisfied by her food. The sticky toffee pudding was lovely.

Met up with a friend and had a lovely lunch. Staff really friendly and polite. Great pub!

Sat outside in the sun and had the 2 meat Sunday roast. Excellent with lots of veg too. Puddings good and very filling

On our arrival, we were first through the door and a lovely girl welcomed us, we ordered our drinks and then were seated, our drinks brought to the table for us. It was nice and quiet and chilled but then some music started playing and unfortunately we had a speaker right above our heads and it was abit loud so I asked if there was any chance it could be turned down abit as we couldn’t hear ourselves speak and my mum being hard of hearing couldn’t hear us talking very well with the music, this wasn’t a problem though and the staff were happy to turn it down for us which was very much appreciated. We had 3 Glastonbury pork roast dinners and a turkey roast dinner, lovely selection of vegetables, tender stem broccoli, parsnips and carrots, cauliflower cheese with leeks, huge Yorkshire pudding and the roast potatoes were so good! Such a lovely place and the staff were all lovely. This was the second time I’ve been here and the first time my mum had been here and she really enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

Delicious Sunday roast. Proper beef and lovely vegetables. Very busy and the staff were working flat out. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely helpful friendly staff,food arrived promptly,tasted delicious!! The lamb was divine. Pudding really good too. My partner had the five bean chilli and, although he liked it he felt more chilli would have made it even better. Really lovely pub, will deffo be going again!

Staff and dining experience were fantastic. From delicious food, relaxed environment and staff who were friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. My apologies on paying I missed the ‘tip’ option. I’ll be rectifying that, as the overall experience was excellent. Thank you :)

Service and food exceptional! Since the change of ownership there appear to be fewer locals popping in for after work drinks, hence less atmosphere early on, but as a local enjoying having a great pub on the doorstep, there’s little to complain about! Pizzas continue to be great and the lamb (first time I’ve seen it on the menu) was fabulous! We’ll be back soon

Probably the worst Sunday Roast we have ever been served. Food was luke warm at the best. Roast potatoes were horrible bullets, veg overcooked and cauliflower cheese was a solid mush. Service was indifferent. We would have complained but we were with friends and did not want to spoil our time together.

A very friendly welcome and great food and excellent service.

My problem was the limited menu, I’m a great fish eater and all that was on offer was the battered fish and chips. Sadly nothing like the menu it use to be, and sadly not the same atmosphere either… the whole place is different and therefore wouldn’t return. Regards.
