Overall a nice roast but the pork was a little dry and the cauliflower cheese not the best, not enough sauce or cheese. Lovely village pub and nice staff.

The service was very slow, drinks were not offered until the order was taken for the food. We waited 1 hour for food. Then when the food came one was only just warm, so clearly had been hanging around a while. Also one of us is dairy free so chose the Bell Burger. There was no mention of cheese on the burger in the menu, but it came with cheese, this was not expected! ☹️☹️☹️

Very slow service, didn't seem enough staff. Waitress didn't know an item was off the menu, normally nice to know before hand as took even longer as had to re-order one of the meals. We were going to have puddings, but when plates were finally cleared and no one came to ask after a good 45mins we couldn't be bothered to wait any longer. We know they were busy, correcting other tables orders that were wrong, so don’t think it was a great night sadly. The food was nice and enjoyable, it's definitely the service that was lacking.

Fantastic!! Had a really nice welcome, lovely table by the fire. Really nice to be able to see the pizza oven in the restaurant. Thw pizza itself was delicious!! My daughter loved hers too. Will be back

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant, couldn't fault the service at all. Sadly the food did not match the standard for the price. We like our veg more on the firm side, but the parsnips and cauliflower were barely cooked, and hard to cut with the knife. The food was plentiful but I had the pork. and was expecting a nice crispy crackling, there was very little meat and a lot of fat. and definitely no sign of any crackling , The amount that was actually edible was the amount of meat you would get on small lamb chop. The flavours were delicious, so such a shame the quality of the meat and undercooked veg let it down. Would we return. probably not for a Sunday roast, as we have had better elsewhere.

Very slow service both front of house and kitchen. This is a great shame as we are locals and have been using the Bell for the last 4 years. Standards have definitely slipped.

Arrived on time. Great by the bar staff who were very friendly. They changed our table without any problems. Food was delicious. (Sunday Lunch).

4 of us ordered a meal but they somehow forgot the 4th one - so 2 of us had finished our meal before the final one came out. Waitress forgot about us re our pudding order too, until we caught her eye and she came over to take our order with apologies. Having said that, food was great and the venue itself is lovely - I have been a couple of times before and service was always good. Probably one person having a bad day.

There were a lot of staff working. However they were less than attentive and did not have an eye for detail. Food arrived but no cutlery. No napkins and no finger bowl for the mussels. It wasn't a problem to ask and we then received the items. However it was just a little draining and did not enhance the customer experience. Food absolutely wonderful.

The heating wouldn’t come on where we were so it was very cold and rather dark. Food was okay. Probably won’t visit again.

Great food but seemed understaffed on a busy Sunday. Would have had dessert but our plates weren’t cleared and after 30 minutes it was time to go.

Slightly disappointing compared to previous visits. Lack of atmosphere. Pizza excellent but the rest of the food was OK rather than great. £18 for a piece of cauliflower the size of a starter seems excessive and main pasta portion seemed a bit small too. Service good. There’s something missing but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Pub was clean tidy and the food was great only issue the pub was very cold and the staff Made us wait a long time before they acknowledged we were waiting at the bar ..

Lovely staff, delicious food, can highly recommend the gnocchi with mushrooms and spinach. The chef even did a vegan version of the garlic ciabbatta with olive oil instead of butter - that was lush!!

The food was great. The service however was slower than we would have liked. It seemed on a Saturday night that there was one bar staff & one waiting staff. It was t enough to ensure a smooth flow for customers.

We always work on the principal of 'continuous improvement' ourselves, and leave feedback and scores accordingly. So ours could not have been much higher for this occasion!

Service wasn’t great, asked for the pudding menu and it never came so gave up waiting. Gravy was very runny not a huge amount of meat, it all wasn’t very hot

Lovely pub and staff were welcoming. Food was not so outstanding. One meal arrived minus ordered extras however was still tasty. The second meal was mostly gristle- staff informed but nothing came of it.

We went on a pizza and Thai food night. Plenty of choice and really good food. Desserts are really good value for money. The staff are really friendly and service was great.

Lovely country pub booked for my husband's birthday. We travelled 45 minutes to get there to be near our family. Loved the look of the menu on line and we were anticipating a lovely meal. BUT although the website said Tuesday there was Thai food and pizza what it didn't say that it was ONLY Thai food or pizza. So it was disappointing.
