Fantastic night out. We received a warm and friendly greeting from the owner. There was excellent menu to choose from and the food was fabulous. There is a great choice of drinks and the service from all the staff was spot on. We are definitely returning to this quality find.

Great atmosphere and good food. Would have given it the top rating but for the fact that the service was so slow - despite the pub not being very busy. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food to be delivered - which is too long at lunchtime.

Service was a bit indifferent. Food was good but not as good as we'd hoped. Bit of a gap between our main course being served and accompaniments. Then another gap waiting for cutlery. I felt waiting staff not as attentive as they should've been. I would rate the food at 8/10.

Found the place on the internet. The pictures of the outside don't do the place justice. Beautiful old-world premises, cheerful and efficient staff, lovely home made food. Couldn't be better!

Very poor seating position-up against a wall with people continually walking past right against our table-did not enjoy our meal as a result although the actual food was good.

The menu was distinctly average (although the food - fish pie in my case - was acceptable). We were offered instant coffee in lieu of filter coffee as the coffee machine had been broken for the past week.

Table ready and set when we arrived. The staff were very attentive and the bar staff helped bring the drinks to our table without asking to do so. Food good and plenty of it!

Absolutely gorgeous food and fantastic service. Great on a Tuesday night as it's 2 for 1 on main meals. Can't get a better deal than that!

On a positive the staff are very friendly, the location and inn are very nice. I've had 2 meals here in the last couple of weeks and both have been very average. I had the steak and ale pie on the first visit. I think the chef thinks adding 10 tonne of salt to his gravy makes it more cheffy, wrong! It's just bad cooking. I thought I would try something different the second time so I has a steak. I was asked how I wanted it. I asked for medium but it came well done. I don't mind well done steak but that's not the point. Don't ask if you can't deliver. The other parts of the meal were just average.

The food and service were very good. We shared a nachos dish with BBQ pulled pork, and opted for a small fish and chips. Good decision, and we hope to visit again soon.

We had to wait 45 minutes between the starters and the main course we asked why and the waitress said we have a large party in the other room , you should look after the small parties.

Went for discount menu - Twosdays - two for one bargain. Pub is very appealing, old and characterful. Very busy with only two waitresses, rushed off their feet, therefore service was delayed and we had to ask to be given the dessert menu and fetch more drinks ourselves from the bar. This lack of staff is the only reason the review has been given 5 rather than six stars.

Lovely friendly atmosphere and excellent home made food. Ate here two nights and service and meals where lovely. If you stay at the caravan park down the road you then get 10% off your meals but really they are not expensive.

I live in Bardsey and The Bingley Arms is my local. My best friend came over last night for and we had booked a table for lunch. Unusually it was quiet but, as always, the staff were attentive and friendly, the wood burning stoves were lit, the wine was well chilled and the food was hot, well cooked, tasty and plenty of it. It's also good value for money. I'll be back again very soon.

Friendly welcome - especially for four muddy walkers, including a little girl with wet feet (socks and boots were kindly placed on the radiator for us to warm up, whilst we ate). Good food and a nice pint too.

The staff were friendly and very helpful when selecting from their menu; the meals being v satisfactory and the choice of wines good no hesitation in returning; private transport or taxis are desirable, the venue being 200yds along a winding lane from the bus stop.

We had our meal in the bar which was warm and cosy. Our server was friendly, atttentive, and very helpful. The food was delicious, and cooked to perfection. We had a couple of the specials, Lamb Rack, and the Venison. The food was presented well, equal to any high class restaurants. We also found that the drinks very competitively priced. A excellent experience, and look forward to a return visit

I've been several times and was always okay, but this visit was awful. Half the menu was sold out, favourite beer was sold out, service poor and unfriendly, and finally we were accosted in the car park and accused of leaving without paying the bill! No apology when they discovered their mistake. Won't be going there again or recommending it.

Our table, which was booked online, was ready when we arrived. Menus were given out as soon as we were seated and our order taken in good time.
