Staff were lovely, food was great but took a long time to arrive, as a result we didn’t have time for dessert.

We had booked a table for 4 for 17:30 as we had the theatre at 19:30, thinking we would have plenty time. As we chose some sharing plates, we had been told they would be staggered. However all the food came out at 18:30 with little space on the table. At 18:50 we were asked if we wanted dessert to which we said we wouldn’t have time considering we had to go to the theatre. The waitress kindly offered to ask the chef and came saying it would be possible if we were choosing very quickly. We promptly put our order counting on getting it by 19:00. The desserts arrived at 19:11, by that we were ready to go. We asked if we could take the desserts away with us but this was declined as they only had foil paper. So we left without eating our desserts very annoyingly. We weren’t charged for them thankfully. We left very disappointed with the experience although the food we had was very nice. We might go back but not before a theatre show.

Friendly staff and lovely, tastie food. Menu was different from the usual and well worth trying.

Walked in and the place smelled musty/ damp. Portion were small. Our waitress was cheeky. Will not be recommending and will not be going back

Sadly, not best atmosphere due to being Sunday 4.30pm I guess. Server was very good.Food was very good,not cold but Could have been a notch up on heat.Suggest a bigger plate as piled on to a big plate, no complaint but had to ask for a side plate to put the Yorkshire Pudding. 😳👍would go back as we like Sunday Lunch mid afternoon.

Three items on the menu we wished to order were not available. Food was only ok and room was freezing!! Waitress friendly.

One gluten free diner. Choices for main meals there were only three , one pork - don’t eat pork , one salmon meal and one steak dish and when we got menus was advised that there was only ONE steak left ! It was 1730 , not impressed. Waitresses were very slow at clearing our diner plates, they chose instead to clear tables that were empty. We waited n waited for table to be cleared and dessert and drinks orders request so eventually had to ask for our diner dishes to be cleared away.

The food was excellent and the staff were great. First time visiting and would go back again. Lovely place.

Staff very inexperienced. Menu misleading and recommended portions far too large. Monkfish main overcooked (inedible) Espresso arrived cold after 20 min wait. Would hesitate before revisiting, overall very disappointed.

Very good service. Food was good, especially the mac n cheese side dish. However I feel the menu was a bit disjointed - some plates a bit big for ‘small plates’. Prefer old menu

I had the tandoori fish and it was AMAZING! The menu is original and different to anywhere else I have eaten in Aberdeen. Every time I eat here it is different and delicious. Great cocktails too! 👍🏼

We visited on Saturday 27 September at 18:30 From the moment we arrived there was a problem with the service, the server couldn’t find their tablet to find our booking. We were shown to our table and told someone would come to take our drinks order, eventually the same person came and took our drinks order, our wine came but the water we ordered did not arrive until we had asked three times. Our starter was only just warm, we had to wait a long time for our main course and based on the very long wait the next table had for their Decaff coffee we decided to quit while we were ahead and asked for the bill. The bill arrived but asking for a copy after we had paid caused some consternation. We did get a copy but not for the actual amount we paid as we did not pay the full service charge. Altogether very unprofessional.

Service was very slow - four tables in use, but didn't get food until an hour after we arrived. Steak was tough, but food was otherwise good.

Lovely restaurant with lovely food! I had the Korean cauliflower for starters and the feta mac for mains and it was delicious! Service was lovely too!

We were the only people in the restaurant so it was very quiet. Food was beautifully presented and we all enjoyed our meal. Unfortunately the bottle the water was served in had the remnants of labels still on the glass which wasn’t a good look. Surely they had other empty bottles they could have used.

Food is fantastic, highly recommend and reasonable priced, only the 2 of us in the restaurant, but for a Tuesday lunchtime I wasn’t expecting it to be busy👍

Friendly service and good food, thoroughly enjoyed by all. On the downside, not all items on the menu were available. We've been visitors to Braided Fig on and off for the last 15 years, nothing has changed inside and things are starting to look tired and in need of an upgrade.

Pre-theatre meal and the service was very good - attentive and timely to meet our one hour quick turn around requirement. The food was great, however the pork dish could have had more pork ! The Braided Fig is a nice restaurant, with good food, a good selection of refreshments and great staff.

This was the best carvery we've had in a while. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Visited before. This time was to try the new menu. The food was stunning. A party of 4, so 4 starters and 4 main courses. Not one bad thing to say about anything that we tried. Only bad point was we were all to full up to be able to have a pudding. The staff are always lovely and very attentive. The bar is well stocked This fine dining restaurant is an absolute must to try. WE WILL BE GOING BACK
