Another great meal at the chequers as always - with great service too!

Fantastic place - our favourite new place ever! Food is out of this world and the staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly - just amazing 😉

Specials meals too pricey. Probably we will not return as better value elsewhere.

Lovely surroundings. The service was quick and attentive. The food on this occasion (not previously) let it down somewhat. The chips were soft (not crisp) and the pie lacked filling - it was basically pastry and gravy. On balance worth a third visit to decide.

What a beautiful country pub with fab service and lovely food with a very interesting menu. Cannot fault it and immediately booked my next visit.

Service was great. Staff couldn’t do enough and their attention to detail was excellent! Only picky thought, only because I’m thinking about it, is, my sea bass special looked like a starter and my husband asked for a blue steak, it came out rare. Other than that we’ll be back.

First time visiting and we were very impressed. My wife had the rump steak special which was cooked perfectly and I had the free range chicken breast with celeriac puree and wild mushroom jus which was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Friendly service and an excellent meal. A very enjoyable lunch.

Received a warm welcome from the staff and, due to me forgetting my mobile, they even googled an address for me (and this was before I had even placed my food order)! Had the excellent steak and blue cheese pie and it was fantastic. My friend had the ham and eggs and she thoroughly enjoyed her food too. The staff were extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. I will definitely go back there again.

A good dining experience with plenty of choice of specials and from the menu. Wait was a bit long but that was because one of us ordered rack of lamb and it was presumably cooked to order. Might have been worth telling us that there would be a wait for that.

The food we had here was absolutely superb. Everything was cooked to perfection and staff were excellent. Yes a little pricey but well worth the cost for the quality.
