Can't go wrong with the Coconut tree, wish we had one in Sheffield! Great food, drinks and atmosphere.

Great visit. Friendly & helpful staff. Food amazing as always. First time visit for four of party - all thoroughly enjoyed and will visit again. Food tasty and spicy but not overpowering or too hot.

Great atmosphere, amazing food, delicious cocktails all at reasonable price. One critique would be that staff were not very attentive of drinks orders, we waited a while for drinks to arrive and they didn’t return to check if we wanted another during our visit.

Went to the Coconut Tree in Cardiff last night for my husbands birthday and we had a wonderful evening. The team were so accommodating and looked after us. As there was a large group of us we had almost all of the dishes on the menu and the food was delicious . Thank you

It was dark. Understand why but very difficult to see the food.

Hidden gem. Food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Services was a bit varied.

Unfortunately we walked out. After being shown to our table 20 minutes plus went by without any staff member coming to even take a drinks order. We have been to your restaurant before but this you have left us feeling that we may not bother again.

Absolutely amazing food that came very quickly once ordered. Sadly staff not very attentive to taking our order for drinks or food. Annoying considering a service charge is automatically added.

A little lunch during a day off something we hadn't tried before. Nice food small plates to share with good flavours. Disappointed due to there being no hoppers and nothing from the prawn range both items I would have chosen. The room we sat in was ok would have preferred another area but I guess I could have asked so my bad. Would definitely say go and have a go can't go wrong spicy and nicey.

I took my wowcher voucher with us but apparently it was the wrong one so we were not allowed in,albeit it was from yourselves confirming times etc,it was on a Monday at 7-30 which I am sure wouldn’t have been overly busy so was extremely disappointed especially on we were on a rekki for some of our other friends,ended up in a Thai restaurant round the corner which was fantastic,street food/Asian is our favourite so very disappointed 😢

The restaurant coped exceptionally well with a large group, they were very helpful to the people who hadn't eaten Sri-Lankan before & good value for money overall.

We had a warm welcome instantly and felt very comfortable for our first visit. We had mentioned we were vegan on our booking and it was communicated to our server on arrival which was great. The atmosphere was great and we went for the 'Cant decide" which meant we got a range of food off the menu at the restaurant choice. This did not disappoint at all. Every dish was individual delicious and together even better. Could not have been happier, we felt full and satisfied. The food arrived really quickly which is always a bonus on a busy Saturday evening. 100% recommended.

First visit to The Coconut Tree and it did not disappoint. The food, service and overall experience was amazing. Rod talked us through the menu and made very helpful suggestions. Can’t recommend enough, we will definitely be back!

Wow what a fabulous afternoon myself and two of my best friends had , from the time we entered the restaurant, the two waitresses were amazing from welcoming us ,to explaining the menu and dishes , superb service , the food was delicious and something my friends and i haven't eaten before , would i recommend this restaurant a 100%, will we visit again 100%, , thankyou Coconut Tree for amazing food ,,service and delicious cocktails, definitely be back . Staff were really friendly, food was delicious! Cocktails were reasonably priced. Music was really chilled and atmosphere was inviting - we will be back soon :-)

I’d fancied trying the coconut tree for a while, so when I came across the wowcher deal I didn’t hesitate to purchase. It did not disappoint, the food and cocktails were delicious. Having had a smaller selection of the menu with the wowcher deal I can’t wait to go back to try more ☺️.

We visited 28th March there were 6 of us none of us had been before. Rodney was very patient with us and 2 guests had dietary requirements which he tried to help and direct from the menu The food was lovely and different to other cuisines we have tried.

I don't know where to start with this review.... We were a little unsure, when booking it, having gone off a recommendation from my daughter, because my wife is not a lover of coconut, and I'm not a fan of the more informal style of eating out, but how we were both proved so wrong is a testament to this incredible restaurant's food, atmosphere and overall dining experience. The Black Pork is, by a country mile, the greatest thing I have ever eaten, and my wife, who is not a big drinker, instantly fell in love with their Rio Rumble cocktail. And the service, well, it was second to none... It was as if nothing was too much for them in their efforts to make us feel both comfortable, and the most important thing to them in that moment. So to sum it all up, if you're even remotely thinking of coming here, DO IT!!!!! You will not be disappointed....
