Vegetarian Mixed Grill - Tasteless, bland samosa's filled with mashed potato - really not good to eat. A few small pieces of 'veg' chicken tikka, 6 small pieces of paneer and lots of onions that it all sat on. Extremely underwhelming given that B'ham is known for mixed grills. We also had the saag and veg biryani - both were ok but lacked authenticity. The place was not busy and yet dishes came out within minutes suggesting good use of microwaved food being re-heated and delivered as opposed to being freshly cooked. The naan bread was the only fresh item on the table. We will not be returning - definitely not an experience I want to repeat. Perhaps they are targeting a different audience - not an authentic indian meal!

The food was a bit to spicy hot for me and yet bland of flavour.

Was put up a corner at the back of the restaurant which was cold eventhough the restaurant was not full. Had to wait to pay,, lack lustre service. Food was ok.

Brilliant service, very attentive. Great food and we had sizzlers and curry. Spice guide is essential to look at but ask the serving staff if unsure as quite spicy. Breads were a little more pricy than other restaurants but very tasty. Portion sizes generous Will visit again.

Today at Covered Wagon, the food was as delicious as ever! With a good friend visiting me in Birmingham, I had to bring him here to experience it firsthand. He took one bite and immediately said, “Wow, the dishes here are seriously amazing!”—especially that signature chilli fish, so nice, that make it absolutely perfect. Sure, the weather today was very cold with that biting wind, but for this heartwarming, soul-satisfying meal, it was 100% worth braving the chill to head out.
