The Curious Eatery

Whilst we understand eating outside is encouraged with covid 19 restrictions it would have been nice to be offered the choice to eat in. It was my friends first time visiting and I don't feel she got the full experience. Whilst outside was fine we could of been anywhere and part of The curious eatery appeal is the surroundings inside. The food was nice, a little over priced for what we had, a little garnish and some crisps with our roll and wrap would have been very nice,as it was we ordered a side of chips.

I do think that they could put those freestanding heaters outside but apart from that we chose the lasagne and bang bang cauliflower Lasagne looked and tasted like cooked 3 days ago and reheated and the bang bang wasn’t hot We did feed back to the lovely waitress who gave us 10% appreciated but not the point. Food was not good enough We ordered coffees after and they came cold Not a good experience and won’t be going back Went home and had soup as was still hungry

Staff amazing and restaurant set up well for these challenging times. Had three of their “boxes” in recent months which have been fantastic but nothing as good as the rib of beef today. Delicious!

Where do I start? What a gorgeous place! Due to Covid we were dining outside under covered marquees with little fairy lights. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. The food was incredible. The flavours were just amazing. The pizzas especially were to die for! Will definitely be returning!

This was our first meal out after lock-down eased. We also wanted to support a local business. The team at Curious Eatery have worked hard to create a safe and pleasant dining experience, something which they achieved perfectly. Tables were suitably spaced and we were offered a choice of ordering through an app or directly from a member of the team. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt but relaxed. The menu is compact but varied, with some additional 'specials' of the day - We had sea bass and the curious burger. Our food was well cooked and very tasty. Prices were reasonable. The whole experience was very enjoyable and we will be returning again soon - Highly recommended!

This is a fabulous local restaurant. They have done a great deal to make the post lockdown experience as smooth as possible. Service is warm and friendly. Food is delicious.

Sadly very disappointing, the poor waitress had to return to our rave 3 times to say our choices had run out . No steak left by 7.30pm I pity the tables after us . Apparently this happens regularly, advises to order when booking next time . Spoiled our evening

Kept waiting for 3 hours and very little money off.

This was our second visit to The Curious Eatery and they didn’t disappoint. It’s special. Firstly I had to move the dining time back as my partner was stuck at work and there was no fuss or difficulty whilst they arranged a new table and gave us the time needed happily. Which we appreciated with it being a pay weekend Friday night. Without gushing I can honestly say I’m really impressed and had the best experience coming here to dine. I always remember the food from the first time we went and also the great interior and feel but the thing I overlooked was just how good the service is, it’s excellent (as it was the first time). We were welcomed by every member of staff and greeted genuinely before being taken to our table. We were asked about our days and had pleasant conversation with every member of staff we were in contact with, right through the evening. Our main server was great, really attentive, friendly and asked how our meals were, if we needed anything (obviously) but it’s the way it was done, the attention to detail and level of care she had. Even the Chef came out later on her break to check with the diners and ask if they enjoyed there meal which shows how much care and commitment is put in to this restaurant. We were sat opposite the serving pass to kitchen so we could see them all working away, creating plates of food and request “service!” when they were ready. For us as a couple this is an additional bonus we really enjoyed as it connects you more to the restaurant and your food. You can see that it’s not just plonked on a plate and the skill they have preparing your meal. We were spoilt for choice on the menu, Im the kind of person who researches the menu online and decide on my meal before I arrive! Though on reading through a great menu when there, there were different specials I hadn’t seen, food combinations I wouldn’t expect but looked tasty, things that intrigue, that are well explained but also plates that are uncomplicated for people feeling less adventurous but still fancy something elevated. We shared an delicious and super reasonable bottle of Malbec and committed to our food orders despite changing our minds constantly (out of choice not uncertainty!) The food came quickly, was hot, presented immaculately but most importantly, tasted phenomenal. We sampled each other’s dishes as they came and between all 6 plates of food there wasn’t a single fault. Everything was cooked well, delicious, didn’t require reasoning and delivered exactly what was written on the menu. The only thing I regret is that I didn’t get a chance to sample the other menu items that looked so appealing as they left the kitchen! This is a really masterful restaurant and I couldn’t recommend it enough, we’ll certainly be back the first chance we get.

It was a treat for my son’s birthday, and it was our first evening visit. I can honestly say the food was exceptional, and we were all very excited with each and every course! Can’t wait to return VERY SOON!
