The Fat Bull

This is the 3rd time we have visited the restaurant this time was my fathers birthday he reported that the food was excellent and one of the best meals he's had for a long time ... all 3 courses super..service excellent...cannot fault the place we will be back !

Our 2nd visit here and excellent all round, our ribeye and rump steaks were cooked perfectly, very busy night but the staff looked after everyone well.

Great food with exceptional service. Booked a table for 7.00 & was eating starter for 7.15, with main course served at 7.40. Been to fat bull several times, and every time does not disappoint. Highly recommend eating here. Only down side was that it was 1 week to Christmas with the festive menu being served, not one Christmas cracker in sight!

Food took a long time to arrive and not that warm when it did. Child’s meal far too excessive for a three year old, plus cost of waste, and cost of meal , place of table where we were seated very cold due to back enterance being used. Staff were great

Fab time as always. Love it. 3rd time we have chosen to have our Christmas meal at The Fat Bull and we were not disappointed!

the Staff should act on criticism instead of the unhelpful reply of “ oh dear I wil inform the chef “ heard it 3 times when I was in there

This was our 1st visit to the fat bull and would go again. Food was amazing, staff pleasant and very attentive. Good value for our money

Another fabulous meal , Great food , great staff , would fully recommend a visit if you have not been you will not be dissappointed .

Menu was not as advertised on the website.However the waitress was attentive and found a suitable vegetarian main course for my daughter.food good but issue with menu very offputting

Food was good! The only downside to the evening was being seated by the front door as I felt draughty all evening. It took a 40 minutes to receive our starters from ordering. We asked for a taxi to be ordered for us at the end of the evening and the waitress was obliging. The staff were friendly and efficient. Overall a good experience!

Was fine. It was busy and the staff were really working hard to get everybody served it may have been an idea to have more staff on.

We thoroughly enjoyed our half price steaks on Thursday. Had read some reviews stating that service was very slow but we didn't have to wait at all. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere, fantastic meal - could not fault it. We ordered from the two for £20 menu and the steak was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend.

Restaurant was packed for a week night because of the good half price steak offers which are only valid if you buy a starter or dessert. We were put on a table right next to the bar where staff were walking past all the time which did annoy me as i felt detached from the more relaxed atmosphere of the main room. My starter was pate which was ok but the onion chuckney wasnt all that good and the toast crumbed on contact. My sirloin was cooked wrong as it came medium when i asked for medium well so had to send it back. The staff were apologetic and polite but were very busy rushing around. My partners meal was fine however we were there nearly 2 hours for a 2 course meal. Far too long await to order and then receive the courses. I would think twice about going again.

Lovely food but had to wait 30 minutes for a booked table and then we got sat upstairs where it was cold and quite dull...

Eight of us had burgers which were all excellent! We were s bit disappointed that the pepper jack burger and the rib burger with gravy had gone from the menu but it was still excellent!

We have been here a few times now and the food is nicely cooked nice choice of wines and friendly waitresses and the prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend people to try it.

Booked a table for 8pm arrived about 5 minutes early. Placed drink order straight away and given menus , server had not returned to take food order at 8.20 so had to chase up. Order for food was only taken at 8.40 pm so turned 9.00 before starters arrived. We enjoyed the food but it was a family celebration and the poor service spoiled the whole experience. Have visited before and food had always been good and service has been okay. Possibly need more staff at weekend.

Amazing food I highly recommend this restrauraunt with great offers. Will definitely be going again to take the rest of my family. There is a lovely atmosphere

Everything was excellent. The food was amazing, ribeye, cauliflower cheese and peppercorn sauce for £10, that is only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday though. Did not have a starter but from what I saw all the food looked great. Will return.

Food was great, The fish and steak were cooked perfectly. The only slight negative comment would be the bouncy noise around room. Over all good experienced.

Excellent experience staff very friendly whilst remaining professional attentive but not too intrusive the steaks and the rest of the meal was to die for and as the steaks are half price on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday very good value for money will defo be back

Another trip to the Fat Bull. Food was excellent. Service for drinks and the main meals was fine. Only slight hiccup was when we were asked if we wanted any coffees or desserts, waitress said she would come back in 2 minutes, but after 20 minutes of waiting, we decided we'd just have the bill instead.

Very pleased with our experience, they moved the timings on our table due to our travel delays on the day and from arrival to end of meal the service was very good and food (steaks)/beverage (cocktails) were excellent. I had recommended this location to all that attended on the evening in question and everyone was very satisfied. I and my colleagues would return in the future.

A great meal and atmosphere. Great deals through the week on steaks and the kids menu is ample for our daughter. I'd recommend it everytime

place needs a really good clean - a deep clean and the food was 'ok' nothing special. externally the restaurant needs some work done to make it look smarter

Early Friday evening special. 2 x steak meals plus bottle of wine £20. Excellent value. Food lovely, perfectly cooked steak, nice home made chips, and a tasty peppercorn sauce. All nicely presented. Washed down with a nice chilled white wine. Service a little slow but well worth the wait and would definitely eat here again.

The food is lovely and you receive large portions. We dined on half price steak night too which is a brilliant offer. The only critique I could give is that it didn't have a great ambience, but we did dine at 5pm when it had just opened so I presume the later it got and at busier times it may get better.

Lovely food as usual. But service for drinks was slow & ordering drinks was hard work trying to get attention of staff. There was a wait on food but we were informed of that & it wasn't that long in the end.

The food was excellent, the fat bull grill especially but the service was very slow and not great. We will go back however as the steaks are worth the wait.

Food was excellent, nice atmosphere. Steak night on Thursdays which was fab value - all steaks are 1/2 price. Definitely visit again soon! Chocolate brownie is recommended too it was delicious!

Lovely staff and reasonably priced drinks. Food really nicely presented. Parking good. Only downfall is the restaurant was really busy and you felt like you was sat on top of other diners. Overall lovely

Stunning Sunday lunch! Thoroughly enjoyed! Fresh, hot, tasty, presented well, service great and I would highly recommend visiting if you haven't already. We had roast beef and it was like cutting through butter!!

Steaks were good. House salad not the best. Would suggest a fruit option on the dessert menu. Fresh fruit salad or Frozen summer berries and yoghurt. Service good. Staff friendly.

It was very busy and we waited quite some time for our food and drink. When it arrived, the food was excellent! And we thoroughly enjoyed it.

very nice place and good location, a large amount of food to choose from but the waitress was really rude and was not that helpful and it took a long time to pay the bill

My wife and I eat here at least twice a month and would recommend the Fat Bull as an excellent place to eat with friendly staff and great food at a reasonable price 👍

Enjoyed the starters, calamari was lovely as was the flatbread. Ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. Had a nice bottle of Malbec, great service & atmosphere. Too full for dessert!

Wonderful food, reasonable price and nice staff. Will definitely be going again in the near future. Steak cooked to my liking and friendly atmosphere. The roast dinners going past looked nice as well.

I love this restaurant and have been a few times. The food is amazing, however the services was extremely slow. I had to ask 4 times for my drink and it finally arrived just after my food arrived. Great food more staff needed and some could be a bit friendlier.

Lovely place, good atmosphere, excellent service from the professional friendly staff. It would have been a 10/10 score only my steak was quite how I asked it to be cooked but still delicious.

Good experience for a special family meal. Lots of choice for all the family. Pleasant staff but we did sometimes feel forgotten being upstairs but it was nice to have the upstairs to ourselves
