Welcome by the staff poor - wouldn't serve one of our party a cup of tea because she arrived 20 minutes before 5pm. Manager/head waiter was brusque and rude - made the whole dining experience somewhat uncomfortable.

The service was not great ...it was very busy but kept waiting a long time ..had the streaks was ok but we have had better .

Lovely meal out and nice atmosphere. Mussels for starter then fillet steak with peppercorn sauce both delicious. Will definitely be returning. Quite busy for a Tuesday evening so book in advance.

Nice relaxing atmosphere. Good service. Great food. Visit here time and again and are never disappointed. Need to book a table though as it is popular.

Brilliant as usual... been a number of times to the fat bull and never had a bad meal ...steaks are cooked to perfection .. very friendly staff can't wait for my next visit

Restaurant cold on entry 5pm opening time. Heating was on but took a while to warm up an empty location. Food acceptable, beef dripping gravy was lovely. Menu online was out of date and different from restaurant menu. I was looking forward to a T bone steak but it was no longer cooked. Please get your website updated. Would I return? Not sure.

Steaks where cooked perfectly, as was the veg. The deals are fantastic, staff are friendly and efficient. I will definitely be going back. Would recommend.

Booked birthday meal in advance on arrival was taken upstairs. Didn't know there was an upstairs but caused me logistical problems due to health issues. Contacted fat bull but nothing done about it despite promise from manager. Disappointing

Food was everything that was expected and didn’t have a long wait to be served. Table was a nice set up and staff were all lovely.

Love the top class food in this place. Staff are polite and helpful nothing is too much to ask for.

Tasty food in plentiful quantities but was not piping hot and was therefore cold by the time the end of eating arrived, service was OK but could be better.

Great value for money on weekday evenings before 8pm when they do half price steaks. Good qulity too. Service decent especially considering how busy they were.

Wonderful food. Excellent service from polite and friendly staff. Very busy place so quite a wait but well worth it. This is now our favourite restaurant . Even fussy daughter who not keen on steak said her was the best ever

The meal was excellent and the service . Only thing was they ran out of red wine but it didn’t spoil our night .creme brûlée if to die for

Such a lovely restaurant, pleased every time we go. Roast dinner, nacho’s and sticky toffee pudding are superb. Staff are always lovely and helpful. Brilliant.

Great quality steaks at very reasonable prices as we took advantage of the half price offer. The service was also attentive. Will definitely eat here again.

Very busy place but lovely food. Had table booked but still had to wait a bit for our table. Waitress couldn't do more. Defo recommend

Limited vegetarian choice and the vegetarian curry was just like a tomatoe salsa with no spice. Ran out of some things like fish, lamb, t-bone

Excellent food although very pricey! Opted for half price steak menu although the bill was double what we anticipated as everything else was so pricey. Also charged for double gin even though I ordered a single. Queried this and was told there was nothing they could do as they poured a double.

Had such an amazing meal! Serving staff were incredible and the chef was unreal. I have dietary requirements and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing meal! The chef even altered some items for me! Couldn’t ask for anything more (except maybe for the recipe for the gravy because it was delicious)

Service was great, food was great. Only issue was the lack of space. The restaurant was really busy for 7pm on a Monday night, which is a good thing, but not when you 're constantly moving your chair in & out to let other diners squeeze past you because the tables are cramped so close together. A minor thing I know, but when your constantly watching for people squeezing past you it does detract from your enjoyment of both the food & the company you are with.

Excellent menu and a great selection of starters and meals etc, This the second time we have been and we definitely will be going again! The staff are warming and great. Over all. It was an excellent night and place to eat. Regards David Twist

Another amazing experience at the fat bull!! Food and service absolutely wiped the floor with Miller&Carter!! The beef dripping gravy is just oh my word divine!!

Went with my husband bith agreed it was the best steak we've ever had and was a great price will definitely be returning soon to try other things on the menu

Love the Sunday roast however wasn’t keen on my dessert (choclolate mouse was flavourless and bland) also a lack of starter and dessert choices on the set Sunday lunch menu

Food is outstanding for quality and price. Staff are knowledgeable, welcoming, positive and prompt and the whole environment very warm and inviting. I’ve been several times and my only small criticism now is the lack of room between tables since the new layout-other than that a fabulous place!

The chatteaubriand was the best thing I have ever tasted, Had 4 sides with my meal and everything was amazing! value for money will be going back soon!

First time going and food was lovey. Went on a Sunday and ordered off the Sunday menu got 2 courses was great value for money highly recommend

We went for my friends birthday for 15 people. The food was amazing. The waitresses were so accommodating and lovely! Would definitely organise a meal there again!

The best beef we’ve ever had. We’ve been lots of times for Sunday lunch and this was the best yet! Will hopefully go next week too with the family

Everything tasted good, service was ok, friendly staff, it was a little cool, several people had coats and jackets on, though the heating did come on at around 8pm. I wasn't amazed but I would go again.

Food is great but always seem understaffed and food takes a long time to come. Long wait between courses and they got our bill completely wrong at the end, adding £40+ to it. It was quickly sorted though and staff are usually very friendly.

Really nice food and atmosphere. A little slow coming back to us after we finished the meal, but all-in-all, a good experience. Reasonably priced as well.

We got seated straight away. The atmosphere was very good and the service was very good. Amazing food. Very nice cocktails. However thia resteraunt was very low on the choices of food. They ran out of specific chips and they was out of a few different steaks and main meals which was quite disappointing.
