Excellent atmosphere, good service and food - what's not to like!

I had the special, Belly Pork with Black Pudd Ing and it really was Special. We all enjoyed the meal.All five of us.

Having had a very good lunch, we attended a memorial in the upstairs room. The room had been beautifully set up, and everything was done to make sure the event went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for our friendly host and his staff. Whenever we are in that area again, we shall know where to lunch and dine. No competition!

The staff were lovely and very accomdating. The food was great, but we were not told there was a specials board and we may well have ordered from there. The food was lovely but the mash potatoe had too much pepper in it, but definitely would like to go again.

The service and staff were excellent. Soup was lovely and the bread very fresh that came with it. Great location - will visit again in the summer.

Went for Sunday lunch but had both off a la Carte , specials and a child meal . All were delicious and enjoyed by all . Very good portion sizes at reasonable price. Look forward to a return visit.

Fabulous meal. Good service , relaxed atmosphere. Food is fresh , hot , generous portions, good value for money. Would highly recommend. Need to book on a Sunday. Excellent place .

Female owner was miserable and actually quite rude. Male owner was fine and food was good and the staff were polite and pleasant. Apparently this pub don’t like online bookings 🤷‍♂️

Lots of choice, Delicious food, gluten free options were perfect; friendly & welcoming hosts 👍 Quite a walk so would advise take a taxi !

Clean, efficient, friendly and nicely cooked and presented food. Easy to find, good large car park; nice views (we were sat by a window!). Very good overall.

Excellent home cooked food. Lovely friendly atmosphere and very reasonable price. The menu has a good choice too. It’s everything you could want from a country pub.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There was a good menu selection with a range of specials. As always the service was friendly and attentive.

When asked if I wanted to go out for a meal then yes definitely to The Ford Inn. The food and service are excellent - can highly recommend

Fantastic food , from the excellent Hake from the specials board, a very tasty burger and great value ‘pie and pint’. good range of beers and friendly service . we’ll be back .

Lovely food, especially the chunky chips!! All four of us were more than happy with the choice on the menu and the meals that we chose.

Very welcoming hosts, excellent food - esp. black pudding with poached egg & devilled gravy starter and large portion size. What more could you want on a windy November lunchtime?

Good pub food with lots of choice, we went for Sunday late lunch, generous portions with fresh vegetables. There was a good atmosphere and efficient service.

Lovely pub. Warm and cosy. Tasty and homely food. Not given full marks as service was slower than liked. Not too expensive. Would visit again.

Had an evening meal at the Ford yesterday and the food was excellent. We have been before earlier this year and the experience then was just as good. Very friendly owners/ operators have created a welcoming atmosphere with comfortable surroundings. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent food and service the home made black pudding was a particular highlight. No room for dessert after opting for a starter and main, portions being generous. Will certainly be revisiting and would recommend to others.

Three of us had Sunday lunch which was an excellent and a thoroughly enjoyable experience as usual. The food was superb along with the service & hospitality.

Great place always welcoming and fantastic food! Always book for the weekend as it gets full... don’t forget to save room for a dessert 😀 sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce is delicious.

When we arrived we were given a warm welcome at the bar. There was an excellent menu and specials board both for myself, and also my wife who is a vegetarian. The food was fabulous and I would not hesitate in recommending it. All of the staff were friendly and the service was faultless. All in all a great visit. We will definitely be visiting again.

Always have a wonderful meal in pleasant surroundings. Owner and staff are always pleased to offer help. Always look forward to visiting the Ford. Never been disappointed.
