Really nice local pub, food and service was good. Will return for a meal again, shame they don’t do a weekly meal deal like a steak night
Nice warm welcome and food was good but it was spoilt by staff shortages and long waits and desert at all available. It was suppose to be a birthday celebration and we left feeling a little deflated.
Good food, friendly staff and a nice setting. Short distance from the village of Holmfirth heading towards Saddleworth moor. Good place for walking before enjoying a nice lunch.
Beautiful location serving lovely food. The ability to choose a smaller portion for a lighter meal is great. Very friendly welcome on a blustery day
Always good hot and tasty food plus excellent service. Would recommend to anyone. Sunday roast dinner is a must. Friendly hosts and great service. Not had a bad meal yet.
A very friendly greeting met us when we walked into the Ford Inn. The landlord making us feel most welcome. The food was excellent our only complaint being that we couldn't manage it all due to the portion sizes. Having had a starter which was a meal in itself we found that we were unable to do justice to the main course and unfortunately not able to manage a dessert.
Good value food and very friendly service. Dessert menu limited to puddings or ice cream; could benefit from a couple if lighter choices. But overall very good.
A bit out of the way but once we got there a very lovely setting peaceful the meal was very nice and the helpings were just perfect
Chose the Ford in because of on line recommendations and we weren't disappointed . The food was excellent and plentiful ( a little too much in one case), and although mine host was rushed off his feet the service and welcome was faultless. Price wise, we ordered 6 mains and drinks and it came to just over£80.00. Not too bad, I've paid more for worse. All in all an enjoyable reunion at the Ford in and we're planning our next one there!
Food was excellent, generous portions and very tasty. Ale was spot on. Friendly service. And price was good too. Would definitely recommend and go again.
Friendly staff, lovely meals served quite quickly, nice decoration. Just menu on the website should be updated - not the same meals at pub. Recommended to friends.
This was our first visit and it was great. Staff were helpful and friendly, food was excellent and some gorgeous views from our table. We will definitely be visiting again
Very nice; excellent food and service together with good atmosphere. We have visited this establishment on numerous occasions and never been less than delighted with the overall experience. Would strongly recommend this pub/restaurant.
Lovely place lovely food, staff really friendly. Sunday dinners well worth the drive out for. Good choice on the menu, toilets clean, sometimes the can let a nice place down. Looking forward to going back.
Service was good,, lovely food and the servings were more than ample, and made very welcome.. Will definitely be going back again in the not too distant future
Staff very welcoming and a nice setting, alas the Sunday lunch was below par, meat too thick you needed a steak knife, gravy etc not home made, won't be going again
Good food, fast friendly service Good selection of beers. All food well presented and locally sourced. I will certainly recommend the Ford Inn to friends and family.
The Ford Inn is a lovely pub and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutley delicious. We will definetly be back.
A lovely meal. The place was busy but the landlord and lady were working extremely hard and kept everything ticking over nicely. We felt well looked after and really appreciated their good humour. A great evening.
Lovely location, friendly and attentive service and delicious food too. Booked on line, which was easy to use and reliable. A good selection of beer. Would recommend this Inn.
The staff were friendly, the service goodas was the food. The menu was interesting offering a variety of predominantly British dishes. The proportions were generous and the quality was very good.
Always good food and warm welcome at the Ford Inn. This is our 'local' and the first choice for family nights out. Would recommend this pub to everyone.
Excellent service, excellent food and drink. Greeted by the landlord who was aware of our reservation. Waitress was efficient and knowledgable about the food. Food was served quickly and portions were of a generous size. Overall a most enjoyable experience.
Fantastic food, fantastic staff. Could not fault the service at all. Great meal for two in a relaxed environment, we will definitely be visiting again very soon!
Excellent food and service. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Ford Inn. The atmosphere in the pub was really good, it is obviously a popular place to eat.
Food as always spot on. This is our favourite place to eat. It's so cosy and welcoming .. a real treat! Surroundings are beautiful as well .. close to Wrigley so good to take a walk before or after your meal
Nice little pub great location in rural holmfirth Good Food friendly great atmosphere well recommended for the sunday roast and black sheep ale Enjoyed my visit
Great service & huge pieces of beef. I highly reccomend the sticky toffee pudding, but ask for it 'as the Queen has it' & with a side helping of custard!
Always a good meal here, a warm wecome with friendly service. Always excellent food and a good choice of beer and always something to try out. Lovely location
We visited on 14 September and all had game pie which was lovely. It was a nice friendly place and the landlord was very pleasant.
we love the food here it's in a great place as well. I would definitely recommend here for good food and great atmosphere .. love it when the fires lit
our favourite place to eat by far .. friendly environment and fantastic food. close by digley reservoir so you can either work up an appetite or work it off after your meal
Choice of menu a bit limited very little salad options , service slow , vegetables raw , pie meat overcooked and very salty room for improvement
