Regulars here - Sunday lunch lovely as usual. Need to book as it’s very popular - outside decking area recently added so late summer shine to be enjoyed

Very popular, great food & service. I would definitely recommend you book in advance. Kitchen closes early so make sure you get there on time.

Good extensive menu, offering plenty of choice. Food came and was well presented and tasted lovely. Well worth a second visit in the near future.

The food at the Ford Inn was all excellent (duck special, smoked haddock, giant cod) and the hosts were very welcoming .. we will be visiting again ..

Really lovely place, staff very friendly, good food wow delicious. Good choice on the menu something for all. Bern a few times and never let me down.

The food is always of good quality and good value and our visit this time was no exception. It would be good to have just one or two more choices of light dessert; there is just Eaton Mess or ice cream (just standard flavours, not particularly special). All other desserts are puddings.

Great food, busy so there was a bit of a wait, plenty to choose from, menu, Sunday lunch and specials board but well worth it. Easy to use on line booking.

Lovely restaurant with friendly staff, nice food and very large servings I only had a main and could not eat it all, no room for pudding.

The food is very good and being able to have small portions on some meals is good for us. The staff are very friendly and polite I can not fault this Pub I go every month with friends at lunch time and really look forward tomit

Would definitely recommend. The Food was beautiful. We had the beef dinner and it was Cooked to perfection. Very generous servings. More gravy was supplied upon request. Superb.

Warm and friendly welcome, four of us dined, the men had pie and the women had salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the men said pie was delicious, their only complaint was lack of gravey! True Yorkshireman! We hope to be back soon.

Lovely Sunday meal and great family atmosphere. Large portions and tasted ok.

Great place to eat. Extensive menu with a good selection of meals. Our party had a variety of meals for our Sunday lunch - roast, fish & chips, pies and scampi. All lovely. Good to have the option of a smaller portion as the larger portions were generous.

The meal was excellent and the staff great. The place was very busy and the staff efficient. The meal portions were extremely satisfying. This is our second visit and we shall certainly recommend it to others.

Great. Table was ready, pub was packed Home cooked food with generous portions. We'll be back. For sure. Lovely lunch with swift service at the table.

Unfortunately the base of the mushroom starter broke up too easily so it was a bit difficult to get on the fork, other than that the meal was lovely

fantastic food! only problem was far too much for me! could do with smaller portion availability on all main courses! if only i was a good eater Ha! Ha!

This pub serves excellent food, the staff are all pleasant and the service is good. I would definitely recommend a visit and I will be going again if I am in the area.

This was our first visit since The Ford changed hands. Very welcoming, with a good atmosphere and good food. We will definitely be coming here again.

The menu had an excellent choice, the food was of a high standard. The cost was about right for the standard of food and drink. Overall good value.

We had a lovely meal nice clean pub . Landlady and landlord very nice .food was great could do with a bit more choice. Would go back

The food was very good and the staff were friendly and welcoming we were glad we had booked a table as they all taken.The pub was nice and warm on a cold night. We have been eating at the Ford a long time and we shall continue to go often

As usual fantastic food and hospitality thie owners have really turned this place around . I have had most treats off the menu (crispy belly pork still fave) and cannot find fault with the taste and quality 👍😀

Proper "pub food" at sensible prices in a welcoming and cosy old pub with gorgeous views over the Yorkshire countryside. One of the best steak and ale pies I've had in a long long time !

Never been disappointed yet with the food or the service- excellent, the Sunday lunch is not to be missed but please book as this is a very popular place to eat

Tasty food and friendly staff. Good place for a family group. A lot of mixed age groups for Saturday lunch when we went. They were happy with two of us sharing one dish, and there were a couple of vegetarian options. Cosy with open fires on a February day. Nice views, and good area for walking.

Food was amazing. Staff were friendly and efficient. Overall a lovely afternoon. Thank you. Recommend the chicken chorizo meal, was delicious. Nice and warm inside.

New owners were very friendly, but the pub had little atmosphere as there were only a few tables occupied on a Saturday night. Pub decor is “traditional” but tired and dated. Food was okay apart from the chickpea curry which was inedible: large chunks of hard veg in a yellow cream sauce that bore no resemblance to curry. Won’t be returning as there are so many other amazing places to eat in the local area. Sorry, I can’t recommend, and I suspect it won’t last long without major changes.

The Ford Inn serves a good variety of traditional pub food with friendly, yet unobtrusive service. On my visit today there was a real mix of diners. Couples, families, birthday celebrations and groups of friends all of which added to a pleasant atmosphere.

Lovely pub, tasty Sunday lunch which was well worth the price. Service very good and nice atmosphere. So good we have booked in for next week.

Good food and friendly service. Had I realised the main course portion was going to be so large I would have chosen a small option to leave room for dessert. But the mains certainly gave both quantity and quality for the money.

Wonderful warm welcome when we arrived, lovely friendly couple. Not nearly as busy as last time we were there, but these are new owners & had only been in approx. 4 weeks. We were a party of 4 & the meal was ok, I had the turkey Xmas dinner which was very nice, but sorry, can not do al dente Brussel sprouts... & the Yorkshire puds were a bit soggy. we had ordered a bottle of wine, which they seem to have forgotten, had to remind them, so had already started our meal by the time it arrived. I think once they get settled & more people book meals, the service should get better, it needs too, as we could only count 3 other couples eating the whole time we were there.

Lovely food all freshly cooked. Good hospitality. New owners finding their feet and putting a great deal of effort into getting things right. The pub is lovely with lots of seating options but what is so good is that you are not on top of one another and can hear yourselves speaking.

Easily the best restaurant we have been to in many years, good food, good service, a nice relaxed eating area and very reasonable priced, but beware the portions are quite large. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely traditional pub, large and uncrowded. Seemed a little short staffed but noticed they were quietly training someone the same afternoon. Food was good (although Yorkshire puddings need practice as they were a little small). Friendly staff, will go again.

Excellent Sunday lunch with good portion sizes. Service was professional but not obtrusive. Too full for dessert of which there were only 4 options to choose from
