Outstanding food, friendly service and amazing value for money. All 8 of us were spoilt for choice with the early bird menu. The Fox and Hounds is my no.1 local choice for eating out

Ate from the Early Bird menu which gives 2 corsets for £10. Very good value and although called smaller portions we all found the portion size to be just enough to the enable you to have a pudding. Something which is always popular with my family

Booking was easy and effective. Catered well for my dietary needs. Excellent food and cheerful staff. A great evening. A very good atmosphere in the venue.

WeI really enjoyed our meal here. The staff are very attentive and try to accommodate whatever you need and are never pushy. The food is excellent and consistent in its quality. I would definately recommend this place.

This is the best restaurant for Sunday lunch. The food is delicious and the service excellent. Evening meals also very good. The puddings are homemade and tasty. I can highly recommend.

As ever, lovely food in a great warm atmosphere, unpressured by staff. Totally relaxing. What more could you want on a dark and cold January evening?

Service was slightly slow initially but acknowledged and apologised for by management when we paid the bill.l Meal was very good and we will go back.

There were three of us and it was our first visit there. The setting was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly. The service was first class, and the food was superb. Would have no hesitation in recommending the place. We all enjoyed it very much and, believe it or not, we booked ahead for next Xmas. Regards Walt Nettleton

Excellent lunch with very friendly and helpful service. Good menu choices with prices reasonable for the quality, although a portion of vegetables could be included rather than being an extra.

The food was fantastic as always and the service was as cheerful and helpful as ever. It's always a pleasure to visit and hoping to go back again soon.

The black pudding, belly pork and daube of beef were all outstanding. The spicy bread was great too. The dining experience was quiet and comfortable. We will be back!

An excellent evening with a relaxed atmosphere and great food, as always. Took friends who have never been before and they described it as the best meal they'd had in a long while.

Excellent food just could have done with more veg and potatoes, a small amount to be shared with 3. Considering the fantastic quality of the food it just seemed a shame to scrimp on these itemx. Would highly recommend and will certainly revisit

Great friendly staff, as always! Not a six because the menu has changed and I feel it's a bit limited. I've had the prawns as a starter for so long I just see it as a starter! The mussels, I'm not keen on. I miss the fish pie! And the chips were different this time... not sure if they were frozen??? Still love the atmosphere... relaxed and very friendly.

Lovely Sunday lunch! Very nice staff and everything home cooked, would highly recommend , especially the roast beef and sticky toffee pudding, wish I'd had room for a starter!

As always great food and great service. We love the Sunday lunch here, always fresh veg, tender meat and a great home made Yorkshire pudding.
