Busy Friday lunchtime, service a bit slow. Fish and chips and steak baguette. Baguette had unnecessary gravy. Chips a bit soft not crispy. Food was OK but nothing special.

Food was very good, and the service was excellent . There was a small problem with some of the options not being available, but this didn't really affect us, and the strawberry and mango cheesecake could have done with a bit more strawberry sauce and a mango.

Delicious food and thought the soup and roast together was very good value. Particularly liked the French onion soup. Excellent service too. All in all a very enjoyable Sunday lunch.

I went to the Hinds Head with friends and we all had a wonderful evening. The service was good from the minute we walked into the Restaurant. The menu has a great choice of food and the meals that we had were delicious. (You could tell this from all the empty plates!!). I would recommend the Hinds Head to everyone who wants a good night with good food with helpful, friendly and very efficient staff. Thanks to the chef for the fantastic meals. We will definitely be returning to the Hinds Head. Thank you.

Lovely atmosphere to eat in. There was 6 adults in our group and everyone enjoyed their meals. Also there is a great kids menu. We had a 3 year old and a one year old. It was really easy to pick something for them because everything on the menu was just right for children.

Good staff and service, good menu but don’t choose the curry, flavours were good but don’t expect any chillies. It was devoid of any heat. I suppose an English restaurant is not the right place to order a curry.

Disappointed with my Sunday lunch roast beef. It was presented all in a large deep plate, all piled up on each other topped with a tiny frozen style Yorkshire pudding, it was saturated in gravy, the meat appeared to have been marinated in gravy too.. was really too much and I was so disappointed, I left most of it. I want to put my own gravy on my food! Pudding was lemon cheesecake but this was not a cheesecake, was a mousse! Asked for a Baileys coffee which was on the dessert menu but waitress came back to say no baileys! This is my 2 nd visit here, 1st time was great but didn’t have Sunday lunch on that occasion

Excellent meal and the cheesy garlic bread as a starter was particularly good. I had fish pie and my sistEr has the chicken and prawn salad - both excellent, but absolutely no room for desert.

Had high hopes for a good night at the Hides head as it looked a good place to visit... how wrong i was. Our evening started off fine, id booked a table for 2 having read reviews and seen facebook pictures etc and there was a singer on too. We had drinks at the bar and were pleasantly suprised at the efficiency of the bar staff that is until we were 15mins late sitting down and after reminding the staff twice we were still waiting at the bar for our table. The place was heaving and so noisy we couldn't hear each other speak nor the waitress tell us the specials nor did we bother talking to each other most of the night... couldn't hear the singer either which was a shame as that was the main reason i booked. The food was average and i had to walk around to find staff to ask for the bill which when received was the wrong bill and double the cost of our bill which was the cherry on top of a very bad experience. Couldn't wait to leave. Will not be returning.

Lovely food, pleasant staff, nice environment. A little disappointed that they didn't have the dessert we would have liked but probably a good thing as we couldn't really have eaten anything else. We will definitely return.

Nice atmosphere, good food and nice pint. Pleasant staff and decor, much better than in the "old" days. Enjoyed the "Black and White Pudding stack" followed by Sea Bass for my wife and the Venison for myself. All very nicely cooked and presented.

Three of us dined here at lunch time, the menu was full of great choices we struggled to decide what to have! 1 of us had moules which were reported as being excellent, my husbands rump steak with peppercorn sauce was very tasty and the steak very tender. I had steak and mushroom pie of the day with chips, I have never seen so much tasty meat in a pie the meat just melted in the mouth. Would highly recommend.

This was our first visit to the Hind's Head and we were all delighted with the experience. The staff were friendly and very efficient and the food was outstanding. The menu choices are wide and varied and the prices are good especially considering the generous portion sizes. We won't hesitate to return and would most certainly recommend the place to our friends.
