The Hinds Head

Went for lunch on a recommendation and very happy with it. Food very fresh and tadty and the service was excellent. Will definitely be returning for another meal.

First visit to this pub, choose the pub after driving past on fishing trips and noticed it was always busy Six of us dined at 1pm , it was really good faultless I had Black/White pudding starter which was stunning, followed by Fish and chips which was excellent The rest of the family all enjoyed all of their meals, will definitely visit again

Booked a table for 3.15 PM on Sunday. Our table was ready for 3.10 PM. We had the Sunday roast. Roast beef, yorkshire pudding and a good selection of fresh vegetables, all piping hot. Good food, good service and an excellent price.

The food was nice but did take a while to come considering it was just a hot baguette. The wiring around the place seemed to be an afterthought being just tacked to the wall. The waitress did as necessary. Nice pub.

Food and drink were all lovely, atmosphere was welcoming and staff were friendly and professional. Service could have been quicker, especially with two young children

Had a lovely meal at the hinds head. Food was fresh and tasty and good choice for children's menu too. Also a great range of gins!

Lovely little pub. Very nice and cosy inside and your made to feel welcome. Food is fantastic. Husband ordered the ribeye and he said it was the best steak he had tasted. I had the steak & red wine pie and it tasted divine. The pie was crammed with so much meat which is very unusual as most restaurants these day serve more gravy than meat. All the food was piping hot and all set out into individual serving dishes. Staff were lovely and very informative. Looking forward to visiting again and i would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Efficient and obliging service. Plenty of delicious enjoyable food. Good relaxing friendly atmosphere. Been a few weeks ago and will definitely be going there again.

Our first visit to the Hinds Head, was a fantastic one, the food was plentiful, delicious and piping hot. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient and we'll definitely be visiting again.

Excellent food and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend and be visiting again soon. Booking required no matter when you decide to go. That alone speaks volumes!

Absolutely outstanding as usual. Real hidden gem where the food is exceptional quality and the service is to match. Staff are well presented and take time to talk to you. Kevin and Adam are a credit to the industry.

Fab food, fab atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you haven't been already. The owners have turned this into a lovely, cosy place to eat.

The decor was really nice and the food very good. My only complaint (as an older customer) was the loud background music. The staff were most pleasant so overall very good.

Service and food was oudstanding. You could not fault anything. The price was also very reasonable. Would 100% return and recommend to friends and family

My wife and I called in on the 19th March for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed as the food was excellent. The waiting on staff were very attentive but you only need asking once if the meal you are eating is ok -- everyone of them must have come up and asked the same question!! -- just needs fine tuning. We visited again on Friday 24th March in a party of 4. Food again was excellent my only complaint they had run out of gammon which is what I had gone for after seeing it on the menu -- but I was not disappointed with the pork loin which I chose in its place. We will certainly be back again in the near future.

Great food, great service. My steak was very nicely cooked and the wife enjoyed her mussels. Very friendly staff, will definitely visit again sometime soon

Great place great service. We had the Sunday roast which although good wasn't outstanding. The dessert was nice but again a bit safe. Overall very nice place but nothing new we will come again to try more of the menu.

pleasant surrounding good food and helpful friendly staff would advise booking for dinner and will pass this on to all my friends we were on our way to a Rugby match at Wigan and we worried about timing but all was good

We have dined there numerous times but we also took friends who hadn't been since the new owners took over. They were really impressed with the decor, the relaxed feel of the place and the quality of the meals. Between us we had:- 2 starters, 4 mains, 2 sweets, 1 coffee and our bar drinks. Total bill £97. Would recommend. Don't be put off by the outside.

First visit today for lunch, the place was very busy with a good atmosphere, the staff where very friendly and our meals very well served and presented and best of all very tasty. Will visit again soon. Recommend new clients to book early as the restaurant soon fills up.

We dined at the Hinds Head on Mothers Day with a 6pm booking. The Food was excellent, service excellent with very attentive staff. Very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend.

The food was on the whole delicious, the chef was a little heavy handed on the fish for the seafood platter for my liking, on the whole the service staff were excellent with the exception to a young lady heavily made up and she clearly did not want to be there

Good food, cooked to order, and served by pleasant, attentive staff, at a reasonable price. Lunch for two, scampi, mushy peas and home made chips. Battered fish with mushy peas and home made chips.

The Hinds Head has been renovated and has a lovely atmosphere. The menu is varied and something for everybody's taste. Excellent friendly service and delicious food.

Great night celebrating our birthdays.staff very efficient.Food was excellent,had garlic mushrooms for starters followed by the sea bass which was delicious.Our first visit would certainly go again.

I had never heard of this place but glad I now have. Excellent service, quality food and atmosphere to match. The rib eye steak was awesome!

Very friendly staff! Food was excellent! Although the Caesar salad didn't have croutons or anchovies!! Maybe add them and charge accordingly? And we ordered sweets which don't arrive as they'd forgotten, but when they did arrive were delicious and we weren't charged for them!!!! All in all a enjoyable lunch! And we will be back 😊

Amazing! Beautiful decor, attentive staff/management and wonderful food/drink. Really nice, relaxing atmosphere. Love it! I've been 4 times recently, with my partner in the evening, with a friend at lunchtime, with a friend and my 3yr old for tea and with my partner and parents for the Sunday roast. Each occasion has been brilliant and the price is really reasonable for the standard of food that is served.
