The Sunday lunch was one of the best we have ever had. It was so tasty with the right amount of tasty vegetables and delicious gravy.

Pre-booked table 1 month ago for 1pm. Walked from Keswick to Threlkeld & had lunch. Great pub. We both had Steak, Mushroom & Ale Pie (puff pastry top) with chunky chips & assorted veg. Lovely lunch, no complaints & service was great too. Wld definitely return.

The Sunday Beef Roast dinner was mediocre, vegetables were bland and roast potatoes - well not roasted.

Good service and excellent food with a good choice for vegetarians. Also a wide variety of draught beers.

Our waiter was absolutely charming, as was the lady on the till, and the food was largely very good. Chips could have been better. Also the Green beans.

The food is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, the venue is combination of modern and historic. There were a few house flies in the bar. A bug zapper would have been good. All in all, great.

The dog friendly table in the window had lots of flies, they moved us to a small table next to the bar. We ordered a beef Sunday lunch, and a lamb. We swapped our lunches between us we couldn’t work out if what we had was lamb or beef… they were both the same. We can only put it down to they were both beef with a lamb gravy, or lamb with a beef gravy. We ate it quickly and left. Wouldn’t go back to be honest.

Excellent food and a very warm welcome too! We only arrived a few hours before so wanted somewhere local for our evening meal and this didn't disappoint - so much so that we will be back!! Great that it is dog friendly too.

Took the inlaws after me & partner visited last year. Wasn't disappointed amazing as last year will definitely be back. Great service and fantastic quality and portions had to seek defeat and couldn't finish.
