An impressive Sunday lunch. Large quantity of lamb with interesting veg assortment. One of the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had.

The meal.was lovely. Lovely setting. Staff very attentive. Well worth the money.

Great Sunday roast in lovely relaxed atmosphere, with exceptional service.

The food was well prepared and arrived at the table hot. The service was prompt and unobtrusive. Overall the experience was calm and this was important as my son is autistic.

Fantastic place to eat. Great menu and the staff are so lovely! One member of staff serving our table even took our baby for a wander to help settle him while we ate! Delicious food too. Thank you!

Stayed three nights in a very comfortable and well appointed room and ate dinner on two of those. Excellent pub fare, generous portions and very fairly priced. Friendly service capped off an excellent experience - highly recommended!

The staff were all lovely. There were 2 problems with the food for one of our party, she had asked for a different gravy with the Lamb shoulder which they forgot so the dish was really dry, one of the staff noticed and straight away went and got it. The same member of our party ordered the Raspberry Ripple dessert but they brought her two scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, again a member of staff overheard us and straight away came over and went and got some raspberry ice cream, although this very nice of her it still wasnt the dessert that she wanted.

Main course cold and salty, still cold even after returned. 1/2 ice-cream in sweet totally melted ! Felt staff really didn't care about standard of food they served. Not helped by the piped music , , eating to eye of the tiger not great

Sunday lunch 3 roast perfection, staff friendly, great value for money

Sunday lunch was lovely, we had pork,beef and lamb,the lamb was a bit tough but the rest was excellent and the service was too.

Food was good, service needs improvement and the table was at 4deg

The food was very good. Portions were large. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only slight criticism is that there should be more time left between courses, the main course came virtually straight after the starters, however this could have been because we attended on a weekday evening so probably not as busy.

Excellent meal, I had Sunday lunch and the boys had the steak, all thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely surroundings, attentive staff, great food. We can highly recommend. Well done all the team!

Had a lovely meal in the Horse and Farrier. Couldn’t fault the food or the staff Only slight issue was they forgot about one meal! They soon rectified it. Portion size on the roast lamb and the gammon meals had a lot on. The fish and chips was a bit smaller.

Came here in may 2018 and it was lovely. Not so good this time. Confusion over one of the meals, another was cold and one was just very poor. Sad as it was because of my recommendation we went

Overall very good food and a nice atmosphere with an open fire. It was unfortunate for us that they sent out from the kitchen my chicken dish on mashed potato instead of risotto as described on the menu, so both dishes had to be returned for a few minutes whilst the meal was re-plated up. Spoilt the evening a little but the quality and presentation of the food was good.
