We have to wait quite a while between the starter on the main, and when our Sunday roast came out we had for chicken didn’t realise and it didn’t state on the menu that it was half a chicken which was massive too big for the plate. had to cut half of it off which put us right off Potatoes were too hard. vegetables, not very good and we were going to get charged extra for gravy. I’ve never known this in all my life. I’ve been having Sunday roasts in pubs and restaurants and had to be charged for gravy also, one person in our family wanted the dark, but that wasn’t available on the menu, but why advertise it I think they need to look at the advertising clearly i.e. put half a chicken on and charge an extra gravy and sympathise it a bit better for more understanding we won’t be going back there again because we were totally put off with the size of the portion and we got better elsewhere

A very tasty Sunday roast, but probably would have liked a bit more veg. I appreciate the serving staff were young, and probably students, but they could have been more attentive. I.e. we had to ask for another drink and also for the dessert menu.

Popped in for an early dinner on the way back from London. Service was very good. Beer in good condition. Pork was ok, but lacked the “punch” of flavour I was hoping for. We will visit again though.

Visited with a couple of friends on a Tuesday, which meant it was not crowded, and very pleasant. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. We have dined there on a number of occasions and will not hesitate to do so again.

We have taken lunch at the Inn many times, we return because the service is very attentive, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is good. My only reason for not marking at the highest level is that the prices are tending on the high side, but that won't stop us from returning again in the future.

Starting with a positive, the food was ok. Sadly, this was not matched by the service. The staff were surly and inattentive, orders were forgotten and one meal arrived late and the starter arrived late. The staff seemed unable to serve drinks efficiently (maybe walk around the table rather than stretch across everyone). Having been twice before and enjoyed our visits, this latest visit has cemented that we have no desire to return. We chose this eating venue as it was my husband’s birthday, one of the bar staff had promised to put a candle in his desert (and we only ordered a desert for him so Thai could happen. She forgot and when I looked at her, she sheepishly walked away without an apology.

We arrived early at Inn For all seasons. Online I couldn’t book the table for 12.30 it had to be 12.15 but there was no reason as we were the only people at that time. The food was good particularly the black pudding starter. Overall we all had a good time

I ordered the Roast and asked for Rare as possible beef and it was actually cremated/burnt. The yorkshire pudding was inedible. We have eaten in The Inn for all seasons a number of times and have never had a bad meal. I think the chef must have changed. We were very disappointed overall with the Sunday Roast, which is a shame.

Perfect food, really large portions - we can recommend the liver & bacon, also the Steak & Ale pie, both delicious. Spacious restaurant where we felt comfortable with our two dogs. Staff attentive but not over fussy. Excellent meal. Drinks are expensive but ..... they are everywhere now. We were staying in the hotel and will definitely be back.

Very disappointed with the food. The roast beef slices were very thin, grey and curled as if they had been reheated instead of carved freshly. The fish soup was very stodgy and "heavy". We felt that some food was reheated from frozen. We did not risk a desert.

Lovely atmosphere, service good and pleasant. Crayfish starter excellent and plentiful. Main cousrse duck a little overcooked and dry with only a hint of orange sauce. We would both have preferred more sauce with the duck. Parmentier potatoes not as crisp as they could be but a nice warm bean salad complemented the duck well. Creme brulee with a hint of almond was really nice. the wine was expensive at £40.00 for a chilean chardonnay but it was pleasant and went down well.

Love the place and the food was delicious, even though it was quite expensive, however it was reasonable for the area and quality. The staff were very nice especially (the chap who looks like toast of London) Thank you all for a good evening.

This is a wonderful venue set in a beautiful part of the country. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food we had was cooked to our liking, we also stayed overnight, the room was very clean, and very well presented. We will definitely be going again.
