A delightful meal, amazing selection of meat and vegetables, in good company. Really recommend this pub for good food in a clean and friendly establishment.

Staff were 1st class as was the food we had a car very fab would go again in January for my birthday l have been before for breakfast many times always good value

The pub has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and good service, we had the cavery which was lovely, meat and veg plentiful and cooked perfectly. We liked the fact that the tabled were reasonably spaced. We will be going back.

The food and atmosphere was lovely and tasteful. Nicely decorated for Christmas. I also liked the nice touch, following the request for balloons as the "event" was for a birthday.

Good service and very good value for money. I had booked a table and we were shown to it promptly. Our sweets did take rather a long time to come but they apologised for the wait. I will certainly go again

Carvery was very good , good selection of vegetables to choose from. Lovely selection of puddings if you wish to have afterwards. Staff friendly and helpful.

Spent over £70 and the plates where cold and 3 chipped I pointed this to the waitress who said I will throw them away when you've finished I replied that's what you told me last time I was here her reply "OH" don't they know germs breed in chipped plates not very good I have been there a lot of times but it's really going down hill the food wasn't very hot and with the plates being cold the meals didn't stay hot for long it was my birthday and the whole visit was disappointing

First time here at 6pm on a Sunday and surprised how busy itted was. But then again you do get a good carvery with plenty of choice at a great price!

We all had the carvery which was lovely and good value,restaurant has a warm homely atmosphere,staff were friendly and helpful but the toilets need some attention and were freezing.

Very nice food, sat over by food this time quit hot :( however can never fault the food at all! 3rd time in week having food at island pool

The usual excellent carvery. Really like the large choice of vegetables and that they aren’t coated in butter, along with a choice of roast, mashed or boiled potatoes.

Service was good friendly staff. Food quaiity ok but meals quite small. The carvery looked very nice but we chose to order from the menu . Prices good Wil definitely visit again

We have loved this restaurant for years and often go in, this time we booked a table for two, arrive, seared ordered food and drinks only to be asked to move table for another party, no please, thank you. So we moved table only to see a party of two have our old table. We got our lovely carvery and I asked if there was any sauces (as non had been put out) so I wait for the sauces to have the same woman put the sauces out with a " there" comment as she bangs the bowels down. It's a shame such a lovely place with fantastic food has staff with attitude like that.

Really enjoyed my meal here today will definitely return. Really nice staff, really nice food and really nice atmosphere. I had a carvery and everything looked and tasted very fresh and perfectly cooked, followed by a peanut butter and chocolate stack for desert which was recommended by the gent from behind the bar, not something I would normally order but so glad I did as it was absolutely lovely. Would definitely recommend a meal here.

Awesome. Ignore any other local eateries who may claim to serve the best carvery in the area. THIS is the, hands down, best carvery in the area. Weekend and bank holiday breakfast is also brilliant.

Really good carvery meal. Excellent choice of vegetables which apart from the cauliflower cheese are not buttered or in a sauce. Staff really pleasant and helpful.

Amazing food as always! As much food as you wish, freshly made and tastes so good Fully recommend 👍🏽 Food isn’t expensive - would happily pay more as quality is worth it

Fabulous steak.. Monday night is half price night so great food for great price. Carvery is always busy so plenty of choice & friendly staff.

Best carvery we’ve had in a long time. Food was all hot & fresh, meat was a little dry but tasted lovely especially with their gravy. We arrived at 6pm & were seated quickly & in a quieter area of the pub which was great especially as my youngest son struggles in unfamiliar places. Queues at the bar were minimal which was nice considering how busy it was. Both staff & the atmosphere were great. Will definitely be going back & trying more of their food. Highly recommend to everyone.

As always, great carvery with a lot of choice and a nice friendly atmosphere. Great value too. Will return, as I have been doing for some years now

Check the veggies before you get your meat as I didn’t and there were no roast potatoes waited 5 minutes when I got back to the table the rest of my food was cold and the roast potatoes were greasy, plus my wife had nearly finished hers
