Our ordered food didn't arrive for us all at the same time, we asked for salt as there wasn't any, they never brought it we had to go and get other sauces too. Then we found that one of the steaks not as ordered then all of the mushrooms on the four plates were woefully past their best and they tasted musty and off! One of the sirloin steaks looked more like a rump steak. All of these things spoilt our meal making it a throughley disappointing experience that we are reluctant to repeat again in a hurry!!☹️

From when we walked in the door until we left the service, food, beer , was fantastic came here 2 months ago when my sisters from Bewdley invited us and had a great lunch , so as it was our 40th anniversary today we wanted to have a meal at the island pool well worth the 60 mile round trip will see you again soon . many thanks Pete Fletcher

We booked a table for 8 on a Sunday lunchtime for my father in laws birthday, we were hoping to order a mix of carveries and off the main menu but only carvery was available, it does not state this anywhere on the website, so this was a little disappointing, our table was in a cramped little area away from the main dining area, the tables had seen better days and it lacked atmosphere, food was ok, (broccoli had seen better days) but there was a good selection of veg, the service was good and the price was reasonable, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for

One of our party was on crutches- the staff were most attentive, carrying food to the table etc.

Haven't visited for some years but was very impressed and will most certainly return in the future.

We enjoyed the carvery and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The chef serving the food was abrupt not very friendly the beef was a cheap cut very stringy no atmosphere at all

Food was excellent only complaint would be the barmaid seemed to be in another world three times I asked for slice of lemon in my coke each time she said okay but forgot

Went on Easter Sunday. Was plenty of room at 2pm but it did start to fill up later on. Good carvery with plenty of choice of vegetables. Pleasant staff. Better than other local carvery.

We had a great time. Food wasn’t spectacular but we enjoyed it. Waiters & barman very friendly. Good night for reasonable price.
