We ordered one of the specials to share as a starter as we both love scallops. Unfortunately the dish wasn't great... Sauce was too watery, scallops were small and there was a little grit in them. Also at £16, if I'd ordered that as a main course I would have been very disappointed as the only accompaniment was a little salad. But the main course of lobster totally made up for it, as both the GaPaw and the Butter variations were delicious!! Staff were a little preoccupied with the large table next to us, so there was quite a wait for our table to be cleared once we had finished eating. Instead of desert, we opted for more nibbles so had a couple of the starters at the end and these were also delicious! Highly recommended the crab bites. Decoration in the restaurant was adorable, and the ambient music drowned out the traffic noise outside, so we totally forgot we were on a main road. Overall, enjoyed it and glad to find somewhere in town that serves lobster! So would definitely visit again.

I visited with my daughter. We had a couple of oysters and a small mussels moules. Sauce for the moules was creamy and wonderful and the oysters were very fresh. Half a lobster with cheese sauce and scallops in a garlic sauce. The lobster was well done. Not a lot of veg/salad arrives with the items, so next visit we'll making sure salad is one of our side options. Fries with skins on were very good, especially with the scallop sauce. Staff were friendly, polite and our main server struck a good balance between checking all was fine without hovering too much. Planning on going back for my daughter's 18th to try the sharing platter.

Really nice to return here again. Very friendly people and food beautifully cooked with quality flavours. Very varied menu will ensure many more future visits too.

The waiters were really friendly and nice. I told them that I was there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and they offered him complimentary drinks– he got a bottle of beer (and a shot on the house)! Food was pretty good as well, with the waiters checking in on us periodically to make sure that all our needs were met throughout our dinner. Would definitely come back here to try out the other dishes on the menu, along with recommending them to others! Overall, my partner and I were most impressed by the excellent service! :)

We had the lobster platter between two of us and it was so good we ordered another one. Will defiantly be going again. Best place we have found if you want good seafood. Room was well laid out to deal with social distancing and there was a good ambience.

I visited The Lobster Pot for the first time, on 15/03/2020, for my partner’s birthday - what a great choice! Lovely atmosphere, and very welcoming (thank you, Dan). As for the food - it was first class. Everything that we had was cooked to perfection, and tasted amazing. It’s the best seafood that I have eaten - I particularly like the Thai ‘twist’! I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to returning sometime soon.

Wow what a place! I would highly recommend it over any chain seafood restaurants. The staff were so passionate about what they do and the food was amazing. Give it a go, you will certainly not regret it!

This is one of our favourite restaurants. The staff are lovely and service is speedy and professional. Most importantly, the food is divine. It's a little on the pricey side, but worth every penny!
