Drinks and food reasonable price and quality good. Good PPE practice in place. Friendly staff and accommodating. No working order & pay app which was a little disappointing as a little queing at the bar which was not what I expected. Dog friendly place. Great all round pub.
The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. Job well done!
Ended up running late. Only had card on me yo pay but machine was down. They were totally understanding regarding these situations. Had chicken fillet sunday special which was awesome and would be happy they kept that on the menu to be honest
It's a new menu,Sunday roast is expensive to what it use to be
I felt food choices were very limited compared to previous visits and a little on the pricey side now. Pleasent people and food was nice but small.
Toilets broken and dirty, waitress took an age to take the order - and then promptly smashed a glass showering one in the party with drink.
Disappointing. Poor food, strange, undercooked vegetables. Puddings were better. Slow
We went for a cooked breakfast and we're impressed with the quantity and the impressive quality of the cooked food. breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. Thank you for a brilliant meal!
We had a Sunday lunch, everything was lovely apart from the cauliflower cheese sauce.....was like water!!
Food was poor and very expensive for what it was. The bill was wrong - charged for a drink that never arrived and an extra main meal. Service was slow
Food was okay, once we’d reminded them what what supposed to be on the plate. Toilets, disgusting. Smelly and dirty.
Lovely food relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff ! Very enjoyable
Had a family meal and we all enjoyed the food . Service was great.
Lovely food and very nice experience. Thank you to all the staff who helped make our Christmas lunch festive.
Enjoyed a Sunday meal at the Manor. Food was well cooked and very tasty. Service was good and staff were friendly and attentive.
On arrival the hostess was abrupt and uninterested Told very bluntly that we should of pre ordered festive menu Food order was wrong starter and main course This is a local pub to us and one we would be reluctant to use again
The food was misdescribed. Had the mixed grill. The gammon was 3 bacon slices, the steak was minuscule. The only thing good on the plate was the chips. The double dipped ribeye steak was tough and the side order of mac and cheese consisted of 3 pieces of pasta. So for two mix grill and two rib eyes plus one Guinness, one gin, one coke and two beers for £75 is definitely not value for money.
One meal was forgotten, then told we hadnt been charged for it, but we had, ended up with a £10 refund, very slow service
We all enjoyed our Sunday roast,we will definitely be coming back.
Visited for a Sunday roast with the family. Lovely food, service was attentive without being obtrusive. Friendly staff. Will return.
We had to wait for service which was about 10 minutes and other people were seen before us but otherwise the food was excellent.
Lovely sunday lunch in a nice atmosphere. We will be back!
Really nice Sunday roast.......yummy ! Will be returning, always enjoy the meals.
We had breakfast at The Manor on a Sunday morning. The staff were very efficient. The cooked breakfasts were gorgeous and very filling! Thank you!
could not fault the food, service and very good value for money.
We go to the Manor regularly with my mum. The food generally is good and the service is also good. However the restaurant was really quite cold last Sunday which was no pleasure for my mother. I also think the ladies toilets are in a very poor state. They are old and falling apart in places and they were dirty and very smelly. Not a pleasant experience.
Unfortunately the service was nothing to write home about. The food had been plated but kept under hot lamps excessively before it was served to the table. So the chips, peas and salad was warm and limp.
Booking was very easy - the staff super helpful and the food was great. What more could you ask?
Really slow service. Had to get up and ask for condiments, table clearing , chase the sweets, 1 sweet never arrived till the others were cold . No spoons, Then mine was still frozen. Young waitress was lovely and apologetic. No one came to ask if the meal was ok. We weren't charged for the sweets , but no apologies or even eye contact from front of house
Food not hot, and a mix up on table bills.
The service was poor with lack of staff around, waited over 30min between 1st & last meal to come out therefore we are at separate times. Two steaks were over cooked & were cooked with pepper on them, two ordered pork belly roast but received pork joint. Set meal item weren’t on the dish eg onion rings & peas.
First visit. Going again very soon. Recommend to every body
Excellent food and service, and live music too! Would happily go back again.
When we arrived the pub was mostly empty due to people sitting outside in the sun but we was not acknowledged for a good 5 minutes We was then showed to a table and our drink order was taken which I then had to chase up 10 minutes later even though there was 3 people behind the bar looking like all they was doing was blowing up balloons We eventually got the drinks with no ice in any and ordered the sharing platter which was nice but when we hit our main it was quite clear it had stood sometime under the heating plate as everything was dry it burnt Would not come back again
Went for Sunday Dinner . Beef was quite tough & more like steak. Belly pork was more like a pork steak and chicken breast was a lump on the plate. Would of much preferred nice lean slices but that’s just s personal preference.
Food used to be great here but not as nice as it used to be. It tasted like the mash had been put through a food processor as it was just slop, the meat was dry and the stuffing balls were as hard as bullets. It's a shame as we have been a few timesand always enjoyed it. The staff are always lovely though. There was a bit of a mix up with our bill and they sorted it out with no fuss.
We ordered 2 meals both came together but the pie was cold in the middle. We sent it back and the other meal was eaten (before that got cold too) before the pie was returned - we had to remind them, but it was too late by then. A meal for 2 completely ruined by one having to eat on their own while the other watched! In fairness to the staff, they apologised and we were only charged for the meal that was eaten. Shame that this will leave a big impression and one of us had to go home and cook a meal!!?
Have been to the Manor on many occasions but this last experience was awful. It was not busy but the wait for our food was unacceptable and when it finally did come it was wrong. I will not be going to the Manor again.
Food was nice enough, restaurant service left something to be desired
We have visited The Manor on several occasions and this was the worst food we have had & we were not the only ones complaining!!!!!
