Not much food, some dry instead of moist. Inexperienced staff

Will keep going back. Well worth the experience. The road surface on approach requires attention, after all it was a mill yard. The road condition has nothing to do with 'The Mill'

We had the sharing platter Sunday lunch £24.95 and it was excellent. The price was great £42 and that included 2 glasses of wine & a dessert & coffee! The service and food is wonderful as is the building. I can see this being our new regular for Sunday's. Great place.

Lovely meal in a beautiful old mill. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the early bird set menu which was gorgeous!! Not massive portions but just right (and I'm usually a big eater) and left feeling very satisfied. Fantastic value for money and a really enjoyable experience. Will definitely return and recommend.

Lovely food & great service. We ordered from the set menu, 3 courses for 19.95. Starters were particularly good & a bit different. Sunday roast was delicious with great Yorkshire puds & lots of fresh veg

Had a lovely evening and the french onion soup and the liver to follow was gorgeous. Great friendly staff too. We enjoyed the ambiance - highly recommended

The atmosphere and ambiance was quite nice. However the main course of sausage and mash was very basic and the mash over salted. The fish pie was again just two pieces of fish and over salted mash topping. The waitress was told of this but gave no offer other than telling the kitchen. Very disappointing was expecting more.

Have eaten here several times and on every occasion the food and service has been excellent. The Mill is located on the outskirts of Otley, on an old industrial site. Car parking is good and the Mil itself is a lovely stone building which retains may of its original features. It is a fantastic place to eat and caters equally for couples enjoying a romantic meal as well as fiends on a night out. Prices are reasonable and the quality of food is first class. Would highly recommend.

We liked this restaurant. The building itself is lovely and staff were very friendly and attentive. Partner enjoyed his starter of pâté. I wasn’t keen on my feta fritters as I felt I couldn’t really taste the cheese and it was overpowered by coriander in the salad, but I do have a dislike of coriander, so this may be personal taste. Partner really enjoyed his feather blade of beef, which he said was very tender. My sirloin steak was huge, but well cooked and seasoned. Portions were big enough, and my gin cocktail was nicely made. £60 for two courses and drinks, so it’s one of the more expensive restaurants in Otley, but we will be back for special occasions.

Lovely lunch with friendly staff at a very reasonable price. My only criticism could be that the coffee is terribly strong but I accept that is personal taste.

We went for Valentine's Day and as with most other restaurants, there was a special set meal on offer. Unlike many other restaurants, however, there was also the option of the normal a la carte menu. We chose this, and the food was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient, and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Lovely well presented food with some unusual twists. Friendly service in a nice environment. The low and slow cooked lamb with wonderful red cabbage was excellent and the frozen grapes with the cheese must be tried at home. Good value for 14 Feb too.

A monthly lunch with a friend. Lunch excellent value at c.£20 each (2 courses, wine and coffee). A real buzz and a steady flow of customers for this mid-week meal. Went recently to another Otley restaurant where the same lunchtime "deal" cost around £30. Well done The Mill!

Unfortunately we had to wait over half an hour for our table due to earlier customers still being seated at ours, however this would not put me off returning as the staff were very aploigetic and to be fair it was out of their control. The food is delicious and there was plenty of choice including daily specials.

We all really enjoyed our meal and experience. The only thing missing was apple sauce to go with the roast pork as they had run out, which was a shame. I would have given full marks!

Lovely inside - a little bit of the beaten track but worth it for the food - very tasty food on all courses - highlight for me was the french onion soup with crouton - Devine on a cold winters evening 👍

The service was excellent - couldn't fault the people who served us. They were efficient and courteous. My starter and main course were fine as far as taste was concerned, but portions were very small, and the food was lukewarm. The dessert was very disappointing - again, small, but stodgy and tasteless. A pity that what could have been a very good experience was let down by these factors.

Food good and friendly quick service. The tattoos of the person on the bar were not expected in a restaurant such as the MIll. The service was way better than our last visit.

Great friendly service and nice decor, very quiet for a Friday night though. I feel it was quite an expensive evening menu and very meat/fish based. From looking at the other menus, the Lunch menu appears to be good value for money.

For a 7.30 booking we arrived 10 minutes early and were welcomed, then we were told our table wasn't ready and were asked if we would like to buy a drink at the bar whilst we waited. In the middle of ordering our drinks, half the group were ushered to the table negating the reason for the drinks and incurring additional costs. We then waited over half an hour for our starter and mains order to be taken. The starter then took a further half an hour to be delivered. On clearing our starters the waitress dropped the knives twice over one of our party and almost knocked his wine glass over. At 9.15 we still had not been served our main courses and enquired if there was a problem in the kitchen. Once we had our food, the owner then proceeded to explain his problems to us. Overall the food was very nice, although the 'salted caramel sauce' on the dessert was, in our opinion, substituted with 'golden syrup'. It certainly did not taste of either caramel or salt. Our experience was one of confused messages and a lack of training in basic service skills. Overall, what should have been a wonderful Christmas Eve eating experience was marred by this series of events.

Took my son, my daughter in law and their two little ones here on New Years Day. They live abroad and had never been here before. It was open all afternoon on New Year’s Day. Shame not everyone realised that. Service and food was second to none! The girls got a children’s bag each and as it was the eldest girl’s 5th birthday I had smuggled in a birthday cake with candles. The cake came out after the main course with the staff singing happy birthday to her! Thank you so much! (Sorry we made such a mess) Better talk about the food now. Same quality as usual and what value for money! Won’t be long before we are back again (minus the mess makers) Thank you
