Fantastic Indian food. Great venue and really attentive staff. Went there on a Saturday evening and was very busy so I'd recommend booking. Not too expensive either

Superb food, lovely service and cocktails. Modern Indian food with some lovely fish dishes. Bonus of traditional pub next door. Went back recently and it was just as good.

Excellent food. Great staff. Lovely decor. This really is Indian food done well. It isn't your typical greasy curry. It is delicate food with amazing flavours. Thebstaffvare attentive. It is pricey but you get what you pay for.

Fine dining Indian food - very good quality and not expensive. Nice to be able to get tasty fish curries. Ambience is also very good as is the customer service.

The welcome was charming and friendly. We took guidance on our choice of food which when served was very tasty. There was a happy buzz in the restaurant and the many staff quietly circulated filling wine and water glasses without being prompted. A suitable fuss was made of the birthday boy which was also charming. What a gem, we will come back again soon

Unbelievable service and even better food. Not cheap but the cost was irrelevant after the experience we had. The season curry was the best I've ever tasted

The Clifton Mint Rooms is a truly fabulous place to eat, the food quality is absolutely fantastic and it is highly complimented by the level of service received.

Overall our experience was good but not as good as previous visits - service & food good, would recommend but menu needs to be updated as had been same since Mint Room opened.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, I have never had a bad experience, very welcoming lovely atmosphere, what more could you want, went with my great niece and nephew 13 yrs and 15 yrs old and they loved it .

The food at the mint room is of a good quality and the pricing is fair, we enjoyed the evening. I scored the Mint room a 5 because the atmosphere is not as luxurious and warm as some in Bristol.

Brilliant meal, nicely presented by friendly staff. The restaurant was empty apart from ourselves which was surprising. We had a personal and intimate dining experience which we enjoyed. We booked on line which worked well for us but there is obviously a gremlin somewhere in the system because we were told that the restaurant was booked at other times - clearly not. We will go again - but may be better to book by phone if refused by the online booking system.

Overly aromatic environment, tasty starters, boring mains that lacked flavour. Expensive. £5.50 for water. Overall, not what I was expecting and I won't be returning.

We had a great Graduation dinner there for seven, only marginally impaired by a glass of wine tipped onto my wife's lap by the waiter. But an immediately replacement full bottle of wine helped to minimise the disaster

To celebrate our purchase of a new home I took my husband to The Mint Room. I had visited previously and the second time was even better than the first. My husband was very impressed and now that we live close by we will definitely be visiting again soon

Fantastic food, complexed, subtle and absolutely delicious flavours. All the dishes are cooked to a very high standard. Mint Room is the finest Indian food restaurant in Bristol.

The food was excellent and exceptionally well presented. What a shame the service was so bad, and would probably prevent us from visiting again. Manager was good but as the restaurant filled up he was unable to carry the inexperienced waiting staff. They didn't understand the menu, were not at all proactive and very slow. Why does it take 20 minutes to make a coffee? I would really expect better from a restaurant charging these prices.

Fabulous food beautifully presented, every mouthful was a delight. The service was friendly and efficient, we had a really wonderful evening and enjoyed every minute of it.

Food was very good but wine a little expensive at £ 38 per bottle. Service was good and we enjoyed the whole experience. would return again.

The mint room is an excellent modern Indian restaurant which offers unique speciality dishes as well as a few traditional curries. Go for the house specials to really experience the skill of the chefs. Service is excellent - I didn't even tell them it was my mum's birthday - they just saw her opening a card - and the produced a cake.

Amazing food, excellent service. I can highly recommend the Paneer Tikka and the Biriyani could only have been cooked by a skilled chef. Without a doubt the best in Bristol, probably one of the best in the country.

Great service, a very good atmosphere and food was outstanding. I would recommend a trip to this Indian restaurant, I'm definitely going again all the staff were helpful and pleasant.

3 of us went for dinner on Saturday, and were not disappointed. We were greeted and served in a prompt, friendly and professional manner, and the Maitre D was especially attentive and even witty! The elegant food was exceptional and surpassed our expectations. Very highly recommended.

Everything about The Mint Room exudes charm, taste and style. The menu is varied to include traditional, house specialities as well as interesting vegetarian choices. The attention to detail in the presentation of dishes and in the service is outstanding as is the food itself. My only criticism is that I felt the dining tables were a little too close together.

My husband and I dined at The Mint Room 9th July, we had a lovely evening. Fantastic food and wine. Service was good! We will definitely be returning.

We had an excellent meal. It was a Saturday night, and the restaurant was lively and had a nice upbeat atmosphere. Service was great. Food arrived in good time even thought it was busy, and all the dishes we had were extremely delicious. In particular, the halibut was very fresh and beautifully cooked. One minor comment, the water provided in the jugs tasted awful - could be vastly improved as it detracts from complete pleasure in the dining experience!

The Mint Room serves inventive and delicious food, a great experience and worth the slightly higher price tag. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We'll be back!

Lovely food which was a delicious fusion of Indian and Western. The service was excellent - attentive but without us feeling rushed, and friendly staff.

Good food apart from bland gravalax. Inattentive service. Reading other reviews people found the head wait or very funny. I went with my wife we did not get the humour perhaps if we were in a group or had drunk more. We felt it was very expensive for the experience.

The food was lovely but our table was not great. We were sitting in the practically opposition stairs to kitchen so waiters were constantly walking backwards and forwards past our table. If I eat there again I would ask for a different table

Unfortunately there was a very large group of people at a nearby table who were very noisy and completely unaware of other diners. We were unable to hear ourselves speak and the management should have politely requested that they were more considerate. The service was very slow, there did not seem to be enough waiters and our table felt ignored for parts of the evening. This really did spoil our enjoyment of the food. We were a party of 4 , 3 of our main courses came out together but one was much later and the sauce was tepid. I suspect it had been sitting around while the waiters served this large group.

Excellent food, ate from the a la crate and all dishes were delicious. Beautifully presented, very aromatic. Excellent service, staff have great sense of humour and very attentive.

amazing food, lovely setting and great atmosphere. we had the halibut main which was fantastic and the chickpea side dish was out of this world. the waiter recommended this side and we were very impressed.

Great venue staff and fantastic innovative and flavourful Indain Food. Good value for money. Scallops and Monk Fish starters and then Duck and Fish Moolee mains and refreshing pineapple based dessert. Will definately be back.

Nice environment with good food. A lot of drinks to choose from as well. Overall a very enjoyable experience and had a great tome, just small details to work on, but not in a disturbing way.

Service was poor. Waited 30 mins for drinks. Staff not too organised. Food was ok but cold. been before and thought it was good. Definitely gone downhill recently. Shame really- was nice at once
