The Mustard Seed Restaurant

Waiting time was the worse with 40 mn wait. Music loudspeaker was above our table, all we could hear was bass vibration without music so uncomfortable audio environment, the £7.75 glass wine was below average, I believe. However the food saved the evening as I really enjoyed my monkfish thank you

Early dinner was excellent and great value for money. Staff were extremely polite and attentive. Highly recommend. Will be back!

Had the goats cheese 'mousse', except it had been way overwhipped, so was more like yoghurt. Tasted great, but should not have been served like that, or just not called a mousse. Medium done fillet steak for the main course, which cost £40. I joked with my partner at the time, that if it's a good steak, I wouldn't need a steak knife. Oh lord, how I was mistaken! Not only did I need the steak knife, I struggled to cut it even then. Needless to say, for that price, I was disappointed. The service and atmosphere are always great, but the food was less than par, unfortunately :(

Not as good as last time! The fixed price lunch is good value but not as good as previous visits.

We sat upstairs. Lovely views over the river Service was excellent from all staff who waited on our table Food was very good and reasonably priced. Nice to see vegetarian options which do not include butternut squash or sweet potato. Restaurant was lovely and warm and tables nicely spaced apart Would recommend and would visit again when in Inverness

Visited once again this time for lunch on a Friday. Good variety on the menu and extremely reasonable price for 2 courses. Our server Eilean was very attentive and although the restaurant was very busy she always popped by to check on us. Will be back again.

We arrived for the early evening meal option (a starter and a main). Delicious food, reasonably priced in lovely surroundings, and speedy service from the friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for more.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Mustard Seed yesterday. We had a very warm welcome on arrival and were quickly ushered to our table upstairs. The food was delicious and the service very prompt. All the staff with whom we came into contact were friendly and professional. This was a birthday lunch for my friend and it was a key part of the celebrations!

Excellent food and service. Only gripe is no water came but for me spraying tables is a no no. Please spray the cloth and then clean the table.

We went for the 2 course menu and it was excellent, generous portions, reasonably priced and a reallly lovely food. We had the mackerel/orzo pasta salad to start and both had the cottage pie. Perfect. Staff were great. Would definitely come again.

The restaurant has a really nice vibe, the staff are very welcoming and attentive, and the food was excellent - and reasonably priced. My wife and I have visited before but its always nice to return. Would definitely recommend.
