The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We did not wait long at all for our meal .

Probably one of the worse experiences in any restaurant I've eaten in. Food was decent, so that wasn't really the issue. Service, well that leaves a lot to be desired. We were sat at our table, the host was very friendly, he should have served us. A couple of minutes our main server came over, gave us some bread and took our drink our order. My wife asked for a mocktail, the server said it was a raspberry and passion fruit drink. My wife said she would have that then she said it it is either raspberry or passion fruit, well that's not how she put it. My wife said she would have passion fruit. I ordered a coke, the server said a diet coke. I repeated no, a coke please. Drinks came a few minutes later, no surprise really that we got a diet coke and my wife got a raspberry mocktail, which is no surprise as I felt out server didn't listen. I didn't say anything as it's not a big issue. The server then snatched our bread basket. Our starters came out, and as I mentioned the food dishes were nice enough but not outstanding. We then got our mains, no check back from anyone. As one of the better reputable restaurants town. I'd at least expect a check back. But our server,listening to her at other tables not just ours her service skills was so poor, very abrupt and not really listening to guests. We were offered coffee and desserts at least but we were served so badly we declined, she brought the bill over and as we were using a voucher to pay for our meal as it was a gift. It covers the meal, she then snapped ,no feeling as it was an inconvenience or cheap us paying with the voucher. We were in the restaurant at our booking time of 5pm and we were out at 5.50. I've never felt so rushed or poorly served in a restaurant like I was at this booking. My son got these gift vouchers for my wife and as a Christmas gift. We've actually told him if he's going to do that again please don't get us mustard seed restaurant vouchers again. We went be back! Just for reference I think our servers name is Andrea.

Booked for my step-dad’s birthday and had a lovely meal - food is always impeccable. Service from Lara was amazing, especially the sparkler candle that was added to his dessert. Thank you!

We attended for our wedding anniversary (3rd time so far, with many more visits planned!) and as always, the food, staff and atmosphere were top notch. Would highly recommend booking a table as opposed to being a walk-in, as it is extremely popular

A must for any visitors to Inverness but remember to book early. Lovely friendly staff and wonderful local produce used for the varied menu.

Lovely starter from lovely sounding range. Beef olives good but used to rather thinner cut beef ham - easier in the teeth but as I said tasty.

As always, excellent service from initial welcome to paying the bill. Food outstanding and just the right portion size for lunch. Excellent value for 2 course lunch.
