We have been dining here for 25 years. Staff faces have changed but the food and experience remains as good as ever.

excelllent food, service and ambience as expected, I havent been here for a few years and it is still excellent.

Came last year with friends and the food was amazing. Unfortunately last night it wasn’t as good when we came back to show my family. Monkfish was overcooked and small amount of fish. The puddings weren’t very nice. The brownie was dry and needed a sauce. The stick toffee was dry and overcooked with no sauce or taste. The cheesecake also lacked a clear taste. The sirloin steak was really good and so were the kids sausage and mash.

Lovely food, great service, and since it was my birthday I recieved a complementary glass of Prosecco, and also got surprised with a birthday song, sparkler and icecream! Fabulous!

Good was fantastic, only comment would be vegetables were rock hard but this did not detract from the meal. Service was first class, very polite, pleasant and attentive staff without feeling watched. Definitely be back

Nice venue. The goats cheese starter was lovely and the lamb shank main was well cooked and presented. My husband had venison and would have appreciated a steak knife to eat it with.

We ate at Mustard Seed on Saturday evening . We booked at 8:30 pm as that was the earliest available and we were happy to eat at that time. The food was delicious and our servers were polite and courteous. However , we felt our entire meal was rushed. We ordered cocktails and had no time to drink them and our starters arrived , very quickly followed by our mains and then despite asking for a little time before our desserts they were served very quickly too. We had put our cocktails to one side and ordered wine which we drank. Following our desserts being served nobody returned to our table to ask if we wanted more wine or tea/ coffee. We sat for quite a while and then we went to the desk and paid . As much as the quality of the food was really good our overall dining experience wasn’t great . Looking at others around us I think we were just unfortunate , but based on our experience we wouldn’t return .

First trip to The Mustard Seed for many years following poor service on our last visit. Pleased to say that the food was good; as it always has been, and the service was very good this time too. As some other reviews have said the dining space can be a little cramped. All in all we had a very pleasant evening and we will not wait so long to return again.

Brilliant early evening menu, excellent wine, fantastic service and great atmosphere.
