We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.My husband missed seeing the poem on the wall.
Very good dinner. Too long waiting between starters and main course
Beautiful space, great food, nice staff. And amazing view. Reccomended
Attentive and friendly service. Authentic Scottish specialties. Interesting desert menu.
Friendly staff, good service and excellent food. We enjoyed every minute.
Quandoo is closing down. This is a planned, phased process and our platform remains available until 30 September 2026.
First time there and it was fantastic well looked after by Adam
The table my husband and I was very disappointing it was up the stairs and my veiw was the stairwell and all I could see was staff rushing around not the best experience and the food was average wouldn't rush back, we were offered another table but we had all ready started eating so just stayed put.
Although the food was good, and the atmosphere was nice, I felt like the service team was odd--my server who took my order seemed a little militant and unfriendly, barking orders at other team members. Not a good vibe.
Lovely wait staff, would recommend and come again, 👌🏻 👍
Such a pleasant place to dine. The food was very acceptable and the staff very attentuve
Noisy, even upstairs. The Blood sausage appetizer was excellent! The char siu not even close. Take it off the menu and consult a Korean in HI. Veggies drinks and wine perfect.
Perfect! Great menu, comfortable ambiance with attentive staff. Nice delivery time between courses and a refill of water without having to ask. Steak was cooked to perfection!! Everything from the cheery welcome to the “have a lovely afternoon” as we were leaving was on point. Will definitely be back.
We were a group of ‘old schoolgirls’ from Skye on their annual reunion lunch at the fantastic Mustard Seed Restaurant, yesterday. We got a great welcome from the brilliant staff, had an excellent and leisurely meal and were treated like royalty by our lovely, patient young waiter! We had a most memorable dining experience in this amazing place. Thanks to the cheerful, hard working staff.
The service was great. Everyone was very professional and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our evening at The Mustard Seed.
Nice atmosphere, food good but painfully slow service - drinks order was forgotten, main took 80 minutes to arrive.
We had another lovely meal here, with a great table upstairs
All good. Service, food, ambience all as it should be.
Wonderful as ever service was fantastic lovely staff and food x
We were given a lovely table upstairs next to a window which was a great start to a lovely lunch and catch up with friend as our above ratings show.
We arrived early for our booking and the beautiful staff fitted us in . Amazing food and service and very special location. 👍👏👏
Friendly helpful staff and amazing food. Food is always fab.
The food was wonderful. My Amaretto Sour was delicious. All 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our birthday celebration.
Having not eaten at the Mustard Seed for a while, we decided to go there for Sunday lunch. The waiting staff were very welcoming and helpful. At one o'clock on the place was busy and, consequently, rather noisy. Ordering a traditional Sunday lunch of roast sirloin, we were disappointed that the two thick slices of beef (beef ought really to be thinly sliced) had a layer of hard gristle between the fat and the lean, and the lean was intersected by a band of tough connective tissue. It ought not to be necessary to take a serrated steak knife to roast beef, but it was. The well-seasoned fat was tasty, as was the medium rare lean, once you had separated it from what was inedible. The vegetables were passable; the tenderstem broccoli was anything but tender. The pudding, Eton Mess, was good. The manager invited and listened graciously to comments and adjusted the bill accordingly. Overall, today’s experience fell below our former good memories of the Mustard Seed.
One disappointing starte(brioche was tasteless). One disappointing main course. (Steak was 60/40 gristle to meat, chips were hard and full of oil, vegetables cold).
Lovely lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed our food and service was super quick.
The food was great and the staff were friendly and attentive 🙂
Great variety - we dined early, so had choice of early evening & dinner.menu and also a specials board.
Lovely early 2 course evening meal with great service from Elysia.
Excellent meal; the cod was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.
Cadre très original et accueillant Très bon service et bon diner
Nice atmosphere, good food and service. We enjoyed being there.
Fantastic dinner. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. We could not have had a better time
Lovely meal on our return to the Mustard Seed. Excellent menu and service from the lovely waitress Sophia. Will definitely return!
Great quality food and choice. Staff very helpful. Lovely feel.
What a lovely evening! We sat upstairs with views of the river to start. The whiskey sours were sublime and complimented the special appetizers- mussels and salmon three ways were both exquisite. Sole and Lamb for the main courses were also amazing! Loved it!
The waitress Sophia was helpful and attentive. Food was yummy
Delicious 2 course lunch. The Dauphinoise potato with the chicken was the tastiest I've ever had. Excellent service too.
Very smooth, glad we made a reservation. Saw them turn away dozens of people. The food was amazing! Large portions were just right. Dessert was delicious.
All good - no issues. Will return at some point
Fantastic food and service. Love this place ❤️ 💕 😍
The restaurant was highly recommended by a few people and it did. It disappoint, we had a great lunch and overall great experience.
My friend had rump steak and I had seabass. Perfectly cooked, both. For dessert we had Eton Mess. Friendly efficient service throughout and nice to sit upstairs and look out on the river. Not my first time there but will definitely be back with other guests! Martha Barnes
We had a lovely meal, my only note would be even though we arrived for an early sitting 7:30 they had run out of a starter I wanted (the mussels) and 1 pudding was unavailable. Service excellent and the food we chose was delicious
Great atmosphere and they dress it up nicely but the food itself is just ok and nothing special. Service was friendly but lacked what I would expected of one of Inverness’s better establishments.
My soup and salad and hubby's cheese bread was delivered to a different table, so I had to wait while others in my party ate. My sister ordered the vegan gnocchi and the regular menu gnocchi came instead. Once we had all of our food the meal was delicious.
Overall experience was good food was lovely but at times felt a little rushed to finish
Unfortunately ( I hate being that guy ) service was slow to start with, ordered drinks at the same time as food. Food was only ok, not like I remember. My steak was overcooked, mash bland and again overcooked. Waitress was nice but seemed unsure really. Nice atmosphere maybe just a bad day at the office as normally too notch ! 🙏🏼
What a fantastic restaurant the staff were really attentive and friendly the food was excellent, had a lovely evening cannot reccomend this place enough.
very nice and pleasant , I'll definitely come back sometime
