Table we were allocated was perfect and beautiful Christmas decorations. The restaurant was very very busy as expected this time of year, so was extremely noisy. Lovely food but I always think it could be hotter. Excellent service and friendly staff. Still one of the best carverys around.

Took the family for a fabulous pre-Christmas meal. Everyone commented on the delicious beef and the wonderful choice of tasty vegetables. Very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere contributed to a lovely experience.

Always good to visit the nailers, but recent visits have not been as good as previous, although excellent, timings do not seem right and food is not as hot as it use to be, lids are left off pots, food is colder than usual.

Always reliable for a decent tasty carvery (NOT the usual 'sat in water for most of the day carvery which many pubs serve these days!!) and my fellow diners enjoyed their meals from the general menu. The Nailers is a reliable food venue which we have used for many years.

Absolutely delightful, the food was piping hot and plentiful, the staff were as always pleasant and efficient.

Managed to book a table as this place is always booked up. Best carvery we have had there. And I thought it couldn’t get any better.

Visited Nailers Arms on Saturday evening for a carvery. Never fails to disappoint. Good fresh food and plenty of choice

Always pleased when I eat at the nailers arms but one criticism this visit was the food wasn’t as hot as usual

The food and service was excellent. Very good value for money

Food great, value great, but lack of service. Sat at table for 30 mins before someone took our order, sat around for 20 mins before we had to ask for our plates to be taken away, sat around for 30 mins before having to go to the bar and pay the bill.

Brilliant! Staff very attentive to a large group and food fresh and delicious. Very well priced too!

The food and drink was generally up to the normal high standard. One slight complaint is that the french green beans were rather cold - the rest of the vegetables were fine. The service was not up to the usual standard, probably because our normal waitress was not present. When we arrived we were pointed in the direction of our table rather than being escorted there and our drinks order being taken immediately. Having seated ourselves we then waited for 10 minutes for someone to appear to take our order - and eventually had to summon someone. After this things were fine until we finished our main course. The waiter just took our plates away without asking whether we wanted order dessert - which we did. Having waited for a few minutes we decided to order at the bar. Unfortunately the last black forest gateau had just gone . So we just paid the bill and left. The meal was very good value.

Booked a table of 27 for a birthday meal, the waitress that looked after us was amazing, nothing too much trouble. The food was delicious, best carvery we've ever had.

Carvery it’s self was very good though food was warm not hot. The service was good.Decor outdated-like school dining room-very noisy. Would go for food but not for evening out

All ok no problems. One point could insure main doors and porch doors are kept closed when possible now it is colder

Enjoyable visit to the Nailer's Arms, staff were helpful in preparing a gluten free option, were arrived and were shown straight to out table, were a food a drink order was taken and delivered quickly, staff were excellent, choice of food was excellent, nice atmosphere, would recommend.
