Very good meal had by all in our party. Good and friendly service. Great music. Very good selection of beers available . Would go again
After being in a very bouncy marina due to high winds and heavy rain we decided we needed Sunday dinner and have to say was a very nice meal and a great choice of beers and ciders. Everybody in the pub seemed to be enjoying there meals the pie looked very nice as well. There was also life music.
Lovely quaint old building. Menu is simple but a good variety of food. Service was quick and meals cooked to perfection and good sizes portions. Lovely atmosphere with live band. Music wasn't overpowering and it was still possible to have a conversation! Would definitely visit again.
Great food and great value as well. Atmosphere really good, variety of ages and live music to boot. Selection of beers was very good. Will be back
Good food, value for money. Enjoy their lunch time offers. Choose from their £10 for 2 lunch menu. Didn't expect to much. Wow it was brilliant all 4 of us left with a smile
Had a lovely meal at the Platform Tavern Saturday in relaxed surroundings with a good blues band in the background. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Choose from their £10 for 2 lunch menu. Didn't expect to much. Wow it was brilliant all 4 of us left with a smile. Topped off with above excellent service from Preston (I think that is his name sorry if I got that wrong). We will be back!
Great place for an evening out in Southampton if you are looking for good food, good beers and good music. Really recommended. Looking forward to come back.
The Platform is a friendly pub drenched in history. They have regular live music and the food and service is world class. The cider festival is always a winner.
Restaurant very busy so a long wait for food , however the food was well cooked and staff pleasant. Will eat there again and recommend to anyone else.
Great atmosphere, great food, excellent place for pre match. We had the Sunday dinner and was pleasantly surprised to have a laos back live music accompaniment. Will definitely return
First Class, great food, beer, atmosphere and music. This pub has become one of the most cosmopolitan and interesting places to visit, and whose food is now of restaurant quality, and beer always diverse and interesting.
Nice choice of food served in pleasant surrondings. Extensive choice of real ales on display.Nice to hear varied live music several evenings a week .very good.
good food and good music on a sunday afternoon. Fresh well cooked lunch and a lovely desert, served by friendly helpful staff. Live music on a sunday lunch time maks it perfect.
Food was excellent and staff were great. The live music gave the restaurant a nice chilled atmosphere.
Very enjoyable afternoon in a nice friendly pub with a great atmostphere. Live music which was great to listen to and we had a lovely meal. Have had food a few times there and it always been good. Highly recommended pub.
Very busy lunchtime but food cooked well and delivered in good time. Seemed to be a staff shortage on that day but those on duty covered as best they could. Will use again.
The Platform Tavern is an excellent venue. The food was very good and the service excellent. The music provided by Sid Carter & Co was just right for a Sunday Lunchtime
We had a lovely roast dinner. Lovely selection of vegetables. The staff were nice and friendly and there was a man playing guitar instrumental too.
Great venue for food and music cozy pub atmosphere with good menu and very good live band staff very helpful nice relaxing place will be visiting again soon
The food was nicely done, with a lot of vegetables to go with, very crispy. We had Sunday roast and fish & chips. Service was quick and waitresses were very nice. There was live jazz music, super pleasant! Will definitely go back!
We visited on a Friday evening. There was a good atmosphere, good range of beers and the food was also good. An added bonus, which we hadn't expected, was an excellent live band playing. Would definitely return.
Great food at a good price ,a choice of drinks for everybody ,a friendly pub making all welcome, once you have visited you will keep on returning
We ordered the sharing fish platter. The portion equated to a small starter for one. When we left we bought mussels and crusty bread from Lidls and cooked them at home. The latter was better. The former was a complete waste of time and money
This was our first visit ti the Platform, we went with our daughter who lives in Southampton, and the whole vibe of the place is just awesome. The food was excellent, the band were outstanding and the place was jumping......brilliant night. We live in Spain, but the next time we visit said daughter....we will be back, thank you for a memorable night out. xx
Lovely food. Quirky interior. Good options for vegetarians and vegans, and helpful changing meals to suit. We have visited her twice now. Sadly the first time, the pub was extremely crowded with people watching a local football match - very noisy. But food was still great.
Reserved table online which was all setup for our arrival. Food arrived in great time and was delicious! Service always with a smile and able to have banter and light conversation with the staff. All in all a very pleasant experience and will come again!
Great food and atmosphere. The menu was extensive and the portions were large. Would definitely go there again. Met some very nice people as well.
