Good food as usual and pleasant and attentive staff as always

All our food was yummy and the service was friendly and attentive.

Often meet family here for lunch and it is pleasant with a wide menu to suit everybody.

Perfectly nice. Food not particularly special for the price. No complaints

It was ok , the burger was very good, a bit pricey

Only downside was a dog at the next table which barked frequently. I've nothing against dogs in restaurants, but I think staff should make it very clear to customers if they hear a dog barking frequently that it's not acceptable. From the faces of other diners, I wasn't the only one thinking this.

Return visit and great food once again - would recommend. Shame about unsettled barking dog from a neighbouring table … but would still return!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, but the roast was not good! Very tough meat and dried out potatoes. 😟

Friendly welcome, excellent customer service. Superb Sunday lunch. Perfectly cooked and served hot. Staff checked on the meal a couple of times. Would definitely recommend.

A friendly welcome. A pleasantly located table not laid when we arrived. Excellent Wadworth's 6X cask Ale to drink. Very nice roast lamb but let down a little by accompaniments. Superb Raspberry Eton Mess for pud. Served with two spoons and easily enough for two. Would probably go back but not for a Sunday roast.

Expensive. Food is good, gravy salty. £90 for a main course each, 2 people, including a basic bottle of Sauvignon blanc.

Arrived early for our reserved time, table was available. Service was excellent. Food was exceptional , roast lamb Sunday dinner.

Holidaying in local area & decided to try a local pub for Sunday lunch, and I'm glad we chose The Royal Oak. The roast beef was a good size, very hot & absolutely delicious! I had to try the waffle for dessert which needed the scoop of ice-cream to lift it, but was charged extra £2.95 for it which makes it a pricey dessert. The ice cream should have been included with the dessert imo. My only complaint was the sourdough roll for the starter which was very doughy, slices of bread would have been better and there wasn't enough balsamic vinegar in the pot with olive oil. All in all a good meal, with friendly attentive staff.

Easy to book. Table was ready when we arrived. Not the most lavish menu but food was hot and tasty. Would return.

Lovely atmosphere! Cosy and warm, what one imagines a Cotswold pub to be. Delicious Sunday roast with 3 choices - beef, lamb and pork. Fresh vegetable mix plus cauliflower au gratin, roast potatoes and a delicious Yorkshire pudding. No scimping on the gravy

Relaxed atmosphere, really friendly and fab food. What’s not to like?
