Wonderful food and friendly, attentive service. Best pie ever! Would definitely return.

Fantastic pies - teenager enjoyed the steak and ale and a beef brisket and the sea bass for the adults. Freshly cooked and tasty. Highly recommend a visit!

Great food and the service was really good too. We are local and have not been for a while but certainly was not disappointed. The pies were really good, our son had the pork/apple/black pudding and said it was really good but a little too sweet. Our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed it all. The only disappointment for me was I wished they would do sweet potato fries as I cannot eat normal potatoes 😊

Everything was great my only criticism was the table (No 11) was a bit small and it was uncomfortable sitting on the bench, which was also very narrow.

Always visit The Royal Oak when we come down for the Cheltenham Festival - we go for the pies and they never let us down!

The pies are proper pies and good beer selection too.

Excellent pie let down by reheated chips which were bitty , onions rings hadn’t got enough batter on them very greasy, no one did a check back after the food came out , but asked at the end !! Someone on the next table kept clearing his throat very annoying!!

Very friendly pub. Limited parking, but free car park 2 minutes walk away. Great pies, kids food and good selection of drinks. Good value and worth going, but book ahead.

We visited Burford for the night a chose The Royal Oak for dinner as we had seen the great reviews online. This lovely little pub didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, we both had pie. The staff are friendly and chatty as were the locals, we felt very welcome. Will definitely be returning. Thanks again :)
