The Royal Oak - Burford

Really lovely pub. Service was great. Food was good. Lovely little fire too. Would definitely recommend.

On arrival we were given a warm welcome. We were shown to our table and our drinks were with us promptly. We were given ample time to peruse the menu and once our order was taken it took only a short while before our food arrived. Perfectly presented and very tasty. In summary we had a lovely evening in a cosy environment and would happily recommend the Royal Oak to friends and family. Many thanks to all the team for a special evening.

My whole family with their first visit to the Cotswolds said it was absolutely delicious so happy with good choices and the atmosphere of the pub, loved all round!

We enjoyed a family Sunday Lunch at the Royal Oak, which we chose as it was dog friendly and our son has 2 dogs. It was also a very convenient location, with some parking. The meal was excellent and our only disappointment was that they had run out of vanilla ice cream, which 2 of our party would have liked with their desserts. However, we would certainly return in the future.

Food was lovely, very welcoming pub/restaurant. Only negative was a group of locals standing in front of the fire right by our table and were quite noisy. Nevertheless would still highly recommend, would love to visit again sometime

Food was excellent, we both had Pies that were amazing and full of filling and flavour . Drinks were great but a little over priced as it beat records at £7.80 for a pint !!! Would recommend but watch the drink prices!

This is a very nice pub with friendly and efficient staff. I had steak and ale pie which was one of the best I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this excellent pub

expensive for a pub lunch but the best lamb shank I've ever had. flat white wasn't the best. however I'd still go again they chose a good position for our dog. staff very considerate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our pies! We requested extra room for our pushchair which was provided. We had to send back a pint of ale as it didn't quite taste right but we assumed it was the end of the barrel. The mousse was lovely but wasn't particularly light and whippy which let it down a little but other than that everything was perfect.

3 of us with 3 dogs booked for Sunday lunch. Had delicious home cooked food , the welcome and service was top notch . Lovely environment and atmosphere
