Steak sizzle delicious, would be nice having soft background music

I always order the same meal at the Royal Oak but this visit I was disappointed in the meal (steak panini). My friends both had steak pie - one was fine but the other had burnt bits of meat in the pie and she said the chips were cold. The waiter did not check back on us until after we had finished eating and by that time, it was too late to rectify. Another member of staff asked us about our dining experience when we were paying at the till (Manager?) and said he would sort my friend out with a dessert the next time she came in as she was disappointed in her meal. Desserts were delicious!

Top marks good service good food reasonable prices friendly helpfull staff clean place well looked after .. my only issue was the large very noisy party of about 12 screaming kids very loud not rating or drinking for the whole time we were in . But that was not the pubs fault . We will be back

big improvement since last booking. Friendly welcome and taken to our table. It was the over 60,'s menu. I had the soup and steak ale pie. My partner had pate. and lasagne with garlic bread/salad. Served super fast, all good and great price.

Staff were lovely! The food was incredible!! The Biscoff cheesecake was the highlight of the visit can’t lie!

Amazing food and as usual the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.

I had the leek and potato soup, along with macaroni cheese, chips and salad. My partner had breaded mushrooms, macaroni cheese, garlic bread and salad. Meal was hot and serves with drinks. Only low point was took 30 mins for food to be served. Had to prompt waiter to ask where is food ? Took another 5 mins before it was served. Otherwise everything was good.

Total value for money. The lunch menu is great, cannot fault food or service.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good choice of food on the menu,typical pub grub and very good value for money.Would definitely go back again.

Staff at the Royal Oak Alloa are so welcoming. We chose of the Seniors menu which is amazing value for money. Food is absolutely delicious and lots of it.

Amazing, we had 2 babies with us who decided to start being fussy right as we got to our table 😥 But the staff were amazing and helped us so much and we tried to apologize for the disturbance but they said it was no bother. Will definitely be back, hopefully when the children are in a better mood 😅

It was OK, the only thing is that when u book for two people you are squashed into a tight corner, not very comfortable

was with another couple. Went for pensioner menu. Starters of tomato soup, breaded mushrooms. Main courses of Lasagne, leek/potato pie and gammon steak with fried egg. All was served quickly, piping hot. Waitress was polite and knew her job. Everybody has a great meal. Tip left for good service.

was very quiet in the restaurant. service super fast. order taking. quickly I had the ham and cheese salade. with a baked potato The salade was tasty, very fresh and well presented. Warning on menu about price rises on food and extra no payments for staff due to budget. Prices still value for money. Recommended.

carvery food was beautiful, a little bit of organised chaos as we had never had the carvery before and it wasn't explained that you could go up as often as you like or how to order starters or dessert if required, but once this was figured out I cant fault the food in any way
