We were a group of seven people and every person loved their meals good size portions and a fabulous menu, the staff are attentive and helpful we had a lovely time.

Food was excellent staff were friendly and helpful restaurant was clean and inviting.

Really helpful and attentive staff good choice on menu. Felt rushed to eat our desserts though and the staff had started cleaning and there was a very strong smell of bleach you could almost taste. Not the best.

This was our first visit, food was excellent and value for money, staff very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return.

Only down side about our visit was the flight of stairs your required to climb to get up to the carvery to eat and if you are disabled it can cause huge problems also for older people who have mobility issues The meal and staff were excellent staff very helpful and carvery absolutely delicious meat so moist and tender

We went to the Royal Oak for my wife's birthday at lunchtime and ordered off the lunchtime menu, it was delicious food, really big portions, the service was great. Would highly recommend the Royal Oak.

I always order the same meal at the Royal Oak but this visit I was disappointed in the meal (steak panini). My friends both had steak pie - one was fine but the other had burnt bits of meat in the pie and she said the chips were cold. The waiter did not check back on us until after we had finished eating and by that time, it was too late to rectify. Another member of staff asked us about our dining experience when we were paying at the till (Manager?) and said he would sort my friend out with a dessert the next time she came in as she was disappointed in her meal. Desserts were delicious!
