Lovely meal for 6 in the garden under the apple tree

Great service, great atmosphere in a lovely garden setting. We only had drinks but will go back again for food soon.

Excellent food, and wine. Sam and Joe our servers were really warm and friendly and gave us great service.

Sad to say not as good as previous visits . Maybe different chef , waiting staff need training in customer skills.

My roast lamb was very fatty and tough to cut. We ordered two puddings and had to wait 30 minutes or more. It has put me off going again,

The manager seemed very stressed despite the bar/restaurant not being anywhere near capacity. Our main course arrived before we were given any cutlery or our drinks despite asking for these three times. One waitress was very polite but seemed over stretched and the manager seemed quite abrupt and only interested in payment rather than how our lunch had been. Unlikely to come back which is disappointing.

Had a lovely meal for 6 today ..roasts were very good and lots of it .Also the Seabass was very nice .A nice friendly pub with good food and good service Would go back again .

A very well run place, a large party was booked in at the same time as us but the staff clearly had prepared for this so our order came promptly. The food was excellent in both quantity and quality, our Guests over from Surrey were very complimentary about the Royal Oak and said they would likely return in the future if they were around Midhurst

Booked it for this evening. Had 2 confirmation emails. On arrival was told there were no tables due to a function. Not being local we had no idea where else to go and struggled to find anywhere. Really poor organisation and customer service !

Booked table 16 but sadly the table was occupied by someone else when our party arrived but the staff found us a good table to view the Trevor John band before they started playing and they apologised for the mix up so all was good..

Unusually bland dishes otherwise good. Starters were great mains not so much.
