Great food and lovely pub. Staff were great. Good time.
good food, well presented, reasonably priced. Generous portions. An enjoyable meal.
Good service and the Sunday lunch was amazing! Thank you
Food was outstanding - both quality, and quantity. Just enough to make you feel content, not so much that you feel like you've overeaten. Atmosphere was good, but felt a little chaotic at times. But I'd definitely go back - on the whole still really good, and way better than other pub/restaurants I've been to in the same area.
Great staff , great food , great service 5 stars
Had lovely evening there tonight very friendly staff and lovely food
A very pleasant experience, we look forward to visiting again
Great steak and ale pie! Good service and nice atmosphere.
Lovely country pub - excellent service and good value meal for a family group. Friendly and attentive staff.
Beautiful pub. I have been vthere three time's. And I will return.
Atmosphere good. Asked to move after being told we could sit anywhere.
Excellent food and service. Good range of ales. Great setting and garden.
Just got back from our fantastic lunch at the Royal Oak, Midhurst. The standard of food was faultless and it all tasted delicious. The young man who served us was charming and attentive. What more could you ask. Our first visit, but definitely not our last!
We came for Father’s Day after a dog walk and they were very friendly and helpful. We were give. A table where us and all the dogs could fit and the food was really nice and reasonably priced
Overall very good. Food lovely. Only criticism is we had to wait too long for service at times.
a very busy fathers day which is understandable, I have had better experiences there, the veg took too long to come out with the roast dinners which then resulted in the food being cold.
Five of us went for Fathers Day lunch today. Two had children's roasts and three had regular roasts. Tasted fine, but vegetables were so disappointing. One tiny dish of cauliflower cheese and one tiny dish of mixed veg, green beans, cabbage, leeks and one half of a carrot, between 5 people was a joke. Asked for more and got one more dish of oily mixed veg, this time with one carrot end in it, the bit you throw away. Not a roast parsnip in sight. Such a shame.
Food great as usual, superb service from Todd. Will definitely come back and go through the rest of the menu.
Overall very good. The roast potatoes could have been better.
Lovely staff, lovely food. There's really nothing not to love.
Lovely meal .. great staff .. very impressed.. will return
Excellent food and service. Very friendly and attentive staff. Lovely location.
Overall visit was good. Downside, not much choice if you cannot tolerate garlic in your food.
This was a lovely venue for meals, drinks and to socialise. Service by the friendly and helpful staff was very good; and the food was excellent. Plenty of space both inside and out to enjoy all this. This was not our first visit and it won't be our last.
Great pub service very good food excellent will be returning
Had a steak and chips, good value special at a tenner. My wife had a vegetarian curry which she enjoyed. Good friendly service, reasonably priced
Food was aweful service was good ended up ill after eating
Excellent food, service and friendly staff as always. Favourite pub!
Loud, young bar staff using inappropriate language. Carrots were under cooked. At no time did anyone come over to ask us how our meal was. Asked to see the manager but was told that they were unavailable! On a positive note the helpful waitress refunded the cost of one of the meals, but our experience had been spoilt by then.
The Royal Oak has a warm, welcoming ambience with attentive staff in a pleasant location. The menu has a varied selection of courses including Gluten-free options, important for one of our party. The food was well presented, tasty and the portion sizes were just right. Overall, our group was in agreement that we had selected a good venue and we will be back again when we next explore the nearby area.
nice friendly venue, good location, large car park, value for money typical pub food
What a wonderful place this is, located in such a picturesque setting. The staff were very friendly and the food was incredible. My partner and I chose the beef burger and my son the chicken burger. I’d have to agree with my partner in saying it was the best burger we’ve had in a long time. We asked for my sons without mayonnaise which seemed to get lost along the way however the staff were great, took it back to the kitchen for us. As this was just due to my son being fussy and not due to allergies, we would have been happy for them to just remove the mayonnaise from the bun however the chef re-cooked a whole new burger for him. We will definitely be returning!
Staff were very friendly and service was good. Food was fine but nothing special.
Lovely food, good prices, great service in a great location
Excellent service. Lovely food. Very welcoming staff who are more than happy to help.

Fantastic Sunday Roast & the desserts were delicious! Really enjoyed our experience
I love this pub. The food was excellent again, and the puddings seem to have been improved since our last visit.
