Great food - the roast is to die for. Great staff - friendly and efficient but not pushy. A very pleasant meal - will be back.

Beautiful pub with lovely staff and amazing service. Food was exceptional and staff couldn't do enough for you. Live band and great atmosphere. Was asked prior to arrival of wanted a quiet table due to live music the evening. Defo recommend.

The ambience was lacking because the paintwork was dirty, as were the light bulbs. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Sunday lunch was excellent.

Our party of 5 all had the fish & chips on Friday evening and it was delicious..We look forward to our next visit to this lovely pub where we also had the pleasure of listening to the wonderful covers band The Trevor John Band .. Thanks again to The Royal Oak..

Lovely food and great environment. The restaurant were superb in catering for a table of 10 guests. Great kids menu, and good flexibility in being able to change any meal components. The ploughman’s was stunning! Most enjoyable.

Excellent menu for lunch including a special lunch menu at £15.25. Quality of the food excellent. Very pleasant and competent service. Only a pity that the enormous restaurant was almost deserted but for my two and another couple on a Tuesday in December. That did not really spoil the visit and we will come again on a spring afternoon: the grounds looked beautiful. TWW

Our meal was quickly served and was delicious. The welcome we received was friendly and our table was reserved in a pleasant, quiet area of the restaurant. We have never had better brownies anywhere! We will be back!

Lovely food, lovely setting, good service. We were not rushed at all - enjoyed a leisurely Saturday afternoon - only small complaint would be glasses not being cleared from table. Aside from that - excellent!

Lovely atmosphere, lots of families having Sunday roast but didn’t feel crowded we were early for our booking but they were able to accommodate us. Fabulous food good value for money gorgeous roast beef would definitely recommend, booking required

I have been several times to the restaurant and never been dissatisfied or disappointed with the food. The roast dinner is the best I have ever had amazing and the steak is delicious too. All the food is great. Highly recommend. It is one of my favourite places to eat.

Had a great night listening to The Trevor John Band in this fantastic venue... Great acoustics and with a very nice meal beforehand... Look forward to visiting again when the band are back in town in 2019.. Great friendly staff as well at The Royal Oak...

Lovely pub in a great location. This is our second visit for a Sunday roast. Absolutely delicious. Friendly,helpful, attentive staff. Will visit again soon. Highly recommended.

The meat eaters were very pleased with their roasts, but the wild mushroom and cashew nut roast with a marsala type creamy sauce was excellent - maybe more vegetarian options will be necessary as we try to save the planet.

Welcoming pub in a great location, delicious Sunday roast, friendly staff. Only downside restaurant gets very busy and it takes at least 20 minutes before they can actually take your food order., food worth waiting for but forget it if you are in a hurry.

Good service and lovely food. There was a issue with a beer on tap being off and the landlord exchanged the pint with out any quibbles. Will come again.

Found The Royal Oak easily. Parking no problem. Lovely pub, had sandwiches which were lovely. Very good service and friendly staff. Don’t understand why it was empty though on a Friday lunch time. I had a lovely lunch catching up with a friend.

The Royal Oak is a beautiful country pub, which offers great hospitality, food and drinks. Excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend and will be sure to return.

Four of us had a lunch time meal there. Lovely well prepared food, good service and a really nice atmosphere. Will definitely go there again.

Waitresses were polite and chatty. Food was very good. Service was quick, just a very delightful pub and lovely atmosphere

Excellent food but service very hit and miss . Once seated I had to get up and down to order mains and then to order desserts. On paying at the bar the young chap hardly gave me time to even check the bill, saying "Give me your card" and thrusting it into the machine. Bit disappointing as the previous evening the service was much better.

Lovely restaurant nice atmosphere and lovely staff, service was fast, and polite, not bad prices, do deals through out the week we went on a Tuesday and it was steak and chips for £10

Good choice of menu plus a sandwich menu. We all had different plates and they were of good quality and tasty. Never got to the sweet menu !
