Kids portions were huge. Adults portions were fine. The prawns in my marinara were undercooked while the fish was overdone. Otherwise a nice place with good food.

Booked a table for mums birthday and was left bitterly disappointed. Not only was there a very limited menu (drinks and food) due to being sold out, the food that did come out came out cold. We could hardly hear ourselves talk as there was a party in the other side of the bar. On the plus side, the staff were efficient and quick to correct the raw food.

Excellent food. Helpful, friendly staff. Not part of a chain so the menu is real home cooked food not bland rubbish cooked in a microwave. Quiz was great too excellent job Quiz master Pete. Bonus for the winter there is a real log fire to make it cosy. Get your skates on and book a visit.

Good food, massive portions as always. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We went for a family dinner and were seated at the back, unfortunately my little one and myself could not reach the table comfortably. When asked to be seated somewhere else, even though most tables were reserved, the staff has acommodated our query. Overall a good experience, thanks. Monika Kinda

This is a regular haunt for me as the food and service are very good. The food is plentiful and typical pub grub. The staff are always very helpful and although busy the food arrived in a timely fashion. Parking can be an issue at this very popular location.

We ordered 8 meals. we had 4 meals with errors. 1 Scampi and chips had no tartar sauce . 1 scampi and chips had chicken balls mixed in!!! no explanation when pointed out. 1 child chicken nuggets chips and peas came with beans so had to be replaced. And the worst one was 1 childs roast request for just roast potatoes, chicken Yorkshire pudding and peas WITH NO GRAVY came smothered in gravy. My grandson then had to wait 15 mins for his new meal and everyone else had their dinner. hard for a hungry 8 year old to wait whilst everyone else is eating, Shame because we go to Ship at least once a month and no-one really apologized.
